18.01.2022 I REALLY miss hanging out with you all. I hope everyone is doing well and using this time to relax and enjoy the slow pace of life. This too shall pass. I kno...w it's not quite the same as our beautiful sessions at the beach and Synergy but thanks so much for supporting my online classes. We have all the Cairns regulars on the mat as well as Yogi's from around the world and other parts of Australia, it is extraordinary. Focus will be on sequenc...es of mindful active shoulder mobility techniques to help you create powerful joint movement and control. Then, adding in the legs with dynamic lunging and twisting sequences to harness stability and mobility. Finish with shoulder and chest stretches as well as twists to release tension in the upper body. A great practice to correct postural imbalances that make us slouch forward. 06.01.2022 I am super excited about this NEW CLASS starting tomorrow night! 5.30pm to 6.45pm at Beach Shack EVERY MONDAY. SLOW DEEP FLOW This class with ocean views an...d the sound of the waves provides poses that range from gentle to challenging, but done with stable, self-centering energy. The pace of this classes is slower and emphasis is placed on safe alignment and the maintaining balance of the slow breathing and steadiness of mind. Class will vary with with silent periods of reflection and static holding during each pose, and at other times moving with fluidity. The toned-down speed of this classes does not, however, mean that the poses are any less beneficial for building, flexibility, strength, stability, and postural integrity than other styles. This slower pace is definitely more conducive to the meditative practices of mindfulness of action and awareness of breathing.This makes it particularly well-suited to newer students, or for those who desire deep focus and awareness for body and mind connection... ahhhh bliss... This course will help participants to connect to their pelvic floor through intelligent movement coaching incorporating the pelvic floor into gentle yoga flows. Tonight at our 5.30pm Beginners Hatha class we are working from ground up with our feet. Learning to strengthen and lengthen your foot arches that will bring lightness and freedom to the whole body and the way you move. Class will involve movements of the many small muscles within the foot. We will then move onto simple standing poses and balances with focus on building stability and support in your foot arches.
