06.01.2022 TODAY’S EVERYWOMAN BEAUTY ROOM TIP: Continuing on from the last post regarding Home Skin Care Tips HOW TO USE YOUR SCRUB/EXFOLIANT & MASK PROPERLY - ALWAYS AP...PLY your MASK STRAIGHT AFTER EXFOLIATING the skin, smoothing it on in an even layer, leaving it on for 5 to 15 minutes. Moisten fingertips with water & gently massage the skin in a circular motion to loosen the mask, before rinsing off. Then apply moisturiser. Ok, so that’s the HOW, here’s the WHY: When we exfoliate our skin, we’re removing the dead, dry layers to reveal soft, smoother, younger looking skin. At this point our pores are open this is the BEST time for the mask to work effectively! If your skin is pimply, oily or extremely dry, the right mask will now be able to be absorbed into the deeper layers of the skin cells the eye can’t see, to absorb excess oil, deep cleanse, hydrate etc. Many ladies don’t do this & wonder why they’re not getting the results they want for their skin. Some skip the exfoliating step altogether & just apply a mask the pores are not open enough for the mask to get into those cells to do it’s job properly. Also, there’s no point exfoliating today & then deciding to apply a mask a few days later - YOU WON’T GET ANY REAL BENEFIT FROM USING YOUR SCRUB & MASKS EITHER OF THESE WAYS! Basically, you’re just wasting your time & product.
