14.01.2022 Introducing Josie's fur-baby, Diego. Diego is a 5 year old dapple Dachshund who is very lovable and protective. When he’s not barking at strangers or trying to steal your food, Diego naps and sun bakes and loves a good beach day. Diego is currently enjoying isolation very much as all his favourite humans are home and he can get constant belly rubs.

13.01.2022 Introducing Dave's not-so-typical fur-babies ......umm spiders!! Dave looks after spiders and studies the venom components because they have potential for beneficial uses. For example, his previous group at the University of Queensland is working on a funnel-web venom component that is showing great promise as a therapeutic to minimise brain damage in stroke victims. The three smaller photos were taken during a recent field trip to Fraser Island (Fraser Island funnel-webs). The spider defending her burrow (right centre) is one of the largest collected from this area and had burrowed 60-70cm down. Last week, it was discovered she has laid an egg sac, so in a couple of months there should be a bunch of babies (100-200), which usually look like a ball of death. The photo of Dave is with a different species from the Gold Coast hinterland.

08.01.2022 Introducing Tasmin's fur-baby, Duff. This is my beautiful, gentle boy Duff. He is a Bull Arab cross, weighs 40 kg and is 8.5 years old already!! He loves to sleep on his couch, having visitors over and his walks in the park. He isn't fond of fireworks, and really doesn't like the postman!

04.01.2022 Introducing Lance's fur-baby, Chester. Words from Chester "2020 so far has been spectacular with Mommy and Daddy deciding that being at home with me is far better than going on vacation. At times, it is exhausting being adorable, and I do need a nap to get over it. Please enjoy some pics of me once I've been able to still myself. When not sleeping, that is difficult to do."

01.01.2022 Introducing Sonya's past foster fur-baby, Miss Chloe. This gorgeous YAPS girl came into our foster care with many fears, desperately in need of TLC. After 8 months of routine and effection, the layers peeled away and this American Staffy was ready to love life again. Miss Chloe now lives with her forever family on Mills Milla acreage.
