22.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE For the people who would have wanted to do a tour this year so far to date it is out of the question. The whole of Cape York is in lockdown no one in or out, this means that if any operator is asking for deposits for tours this year I would be unlikely to hand over any money... There are no group gatherings, All National parks are closed, motorcycle riding in not deemed a essential activity and further more Cape York is closed indefinitely... I do believe there is a tour operator offering discounts if you book a tour for this year, I would advise not to part with any money because they cannot run a tour... Please pass this onto anyone who is wanting to do a ride this year or even a 4x4 trip to Cape York.

08.01.2022 So a quick update, the Cape York region is still closed.. From the Daintree to Cooktown and north is not open to anyone.. Any tour operator telling you they are doing tours is misleading you and ripping you off...
