12.01.2022 Final dress rehearsal was a hoot last night and the Life Without Me gang are excited and ready to be performing in our theatre again. It was great to finally meet this quirky bunch of characters and have a laugh with a live audience. Opening tomorrow night with 8 performances until March 6th. The bar and box office open 7pm each evening, and with some 'Covid changes' 'round the place; now you can enjoy your drinks in the air conditioned theatre from 7.15pm...... Come and join us once again February 26th to March 6th for a laugh 'round The Rondo... What's it all about?... Seeking refuge from a world outside of their control, John and his fellow guests arrive breathless and off-balance in the lobby of a crappy two-star hotel. The lift is broken and the toast is burnt. Trapped in this purgatory, not yet properly arrived, and not entirely departed, they ask the existential question, where am I, and how did I get here? I love a stage production that leaves gaps for the audience to fill in loose ends to continue the narrative. This play is like that. Not a neatly wrapped up package. Still a bit frayed and tattered like life. Director Lynn Cropp Award winning Australian writer Daniel Keene is one of the most important playwrights spanning the 20th and 21st centuries.
