25.01.2022 R.I.P. Little Richard

24.01.2022 This song expresses everything I need to say today. Thank you Billy Joel for writting this song. So it Goes

23.01.2022 Today I am grateful for my voice. When I was a little boy, 4 years old, a traumatic incident occurred that left me unwilling to speak. I did not speak much until I was about 6, and by then I had major speech impediments. I could not pronounce J or T until I was about 8 years old. I remember going to speech elocution lessons. It was quite worrisome for my parents and very embarrassing for me. That little boy with a speech impediment became a professional singer. Can you be...lieve it? Ironically, it is because of another traumatic incident 4 years ago that I began singing more often and nearly 3 years ago went Pro. It has taken a lot of courage and discipline and even more grace. It is a tremendous privilege to sing for others as a piano bar entertainer but I sing mostly for my own enjoyment. I’ve learnt that difficult events bring out the best in me. I have found freedom from trauma. My suffering fuels compassion and moves me to sing and express myself with music. All my needs are effortlessly meet in avalanches of abundance so I can generously serve others. Showbusiness is in my blood.

21.01.2022 It was 3 years ago today I did my first ever solo performance. I’ve been performing since I was a wee lad yet never performed solo till I was asked to do a little set of songs at the Cairns Tropic Jazz Club. I’m glad I got rid of the grey beard and silver rim glasses. What an incredible 3 years it has been. This led to work as a piano bar entertainer on cruise ships. The stuff dreams are made of. What an amazing journey.

20.01.2022 During our time in lockdown I composed an Ambient soundtrack for a guided meditation from a 12 step workbook. It was recoded directly to the camera so it's not the greatest quality. If you would like me to record another voiceover onto the recorded soundtrack (you can see the recording displayed on the big monitor in the video) I have time to make it sound much better? Let me know? This is a beautiful healing meditaion for your Inner Child. I found it very helpful. It takes about 10min.

20.01.2022 How do you think I dealt with this situation? A drunk guest grabs the microphone stand mid song. It happens way too often and can result in chiped teeth and other injuries. What do you think? #Pianobar #drunks #Grayboy #Cruiselife

20.01.2022 This is my first attempt at writing a musical parody. People are probably getting board of parodies by now but better late than never. To the tune of New York, New York...Facebook, Facebook!

15.01.2022 Many musicians are posting covers of Bill Withers songs as a result of his passing. What a great musician and huge influence on me personally. I remember hearing MJ sing "Ain't No Sunshine" when I was about 8yo. It change my life forever and from that moment I knew my favourite kind of music had to be music with "soul". I couldn't possibly do "Ain't no sunshine" justice but I thought it fitting to do "Just The Two Of Us", considering only two people can meet together these days. Let me know if you listened to the end for the joke? What is your favorite Bill Withers song?

13.01.2022 7 years ago this album dropped. Available at all your favourite digital music shops or you can purchase a good’ol fashioned actual CD direct from me.

13.01.2022 It is nearly 3 years since I went Pro with this Piano Man capper. I've been lucky to fullfill my dream, perform as a Piano Bar Entertainer on cruise ships. A few people have told me I'm not good enough to be a professional singer/piano player. They are probably right? But performing music may be about more than just having great skill? Sometimes it takes sheer guts and determination. This song takes a lot of guts to sing. I don't really want to post it but this is an exercise... in courage. The haters are gona hate anyway. Music for me is about connection and expression. This was my mums favourite song which she had played at her funeral nearly 20 years ago. Recently, while working on P&O Explorer, this song was requested and I fumbled through it. I also had the opportunity to play it for my Dad when I visited him just before the lock down. Bridge Over Troubled Waters means a lot to me and it means even more to me now during this time of isolation.

10.01.2022 Last week another legendary musician passed away, Kenny Rogers. Not many people realise he was a pop star in the 60's phycadelic band, First Edition. I was living in the USA in the 80's when I first heard Kenny. For years he was the worlds biggest selling country artist. My Dad loved country music, but Kenny was more than just country, he had soul too. "Lady" was written by Lionel Richie specifically for Kenny to record in 1980. As one of my favourite songs ever, I've sung it poorly a few times but Kenny had a way of singing it so perfectly natural. I'll always admire his skill, constancy and amazing longevity.

09.01.2022 It's been a long time since my last gig. I miss dressing up to do gigs so I put a suit on last night and played a few songs at home. This is an Elton song, Daniel.

06.01.2022 Australia Day on Sydney Harbour performing to an audience of larrikin Aussies. A great fun time. What's your favorite part of this clip? #Grayboy #pianobar #pianoman #PacificExplorer #pando #AussieAussieAussie #OieOieOie

06.01.2022 My new business cards have arrived. What’s really cool is they cost me nothing. All I had to do was list my business with a new company called Qoin and they gave me Q1000 of their crypto currency free. I found a printer on the same website that trades with Qoin and now I have these 480gsm, raised ink and spot polished cards. The POP-UP Piano Bar literally pops up! Pretty fancy, hey?

06.01.2022 Onboard P&O Pacific Explorer in the Ocean Bar (Piano Bar) Deck 7 in the Atrium.
