Changes to legislation include: - The abolishment of a landlord’s right to not renew a tenancy at the end of an agreed term.... - The removal of a landlord’s decision-making ability regarding pets. - The unreasonable obligation on landlords to comply with Minimum Housing Standards. - The unrestricted ability for tenants to make minor modifications to personalise the rental accommodation. Overall, the proposed reforms will create increased risk and costs for you as a property owner and erode your fundamental rights. 04.01.2022 Coronavirus (Covid-19) Cairns Rental Realty's Policies By now you will have heard of Coronavirus (COVID-19) as the world is facing mass media and news output sharing about this progressing issue. We definitely want to post this to encourage preparation and caution and not to cause panic.... We at Cairns Rental Realty deal with the public regularly and most importantly deal with Tenant's when we visit your homes for Routine Inspections etc. During the next few months (like I am sure all of you will be) we will be monitoring this situation closely and continue to update you on our policies if they change.
