24.01.2022 PARKS TO CLUB Player Profile: Gilmore Auda Twelve year old Manoora resident, Gilmore Auda, is one of our newest Parks to Clubs recruits. Initially attending a grass roots SPAYC+PLACE program with a mate in a Mooroobool park, the service provider identified Gilmore's natural talent and willingness to get into club sport. With support from his parents, he was assisted to sign up to play for Manunda Hawks AFL Club and to receive mentoring support from the club throughout the sea...son. Gilmore has been attentive at training and the results are showing. Well done Gilmore! 24.01.2022 On Tuesday we held a special high tea event for the lovely ladies of Mooroobool as part of the re-opening if the Mooroobool Community Hub events. The ladies were treated to a pamper session by Dee's Deportment, Grooming and Self Care, enjoyed some beautiful sweet and savoury treats from In2lunch and shared yarns with our friend from Queensland Police Service, Australian Red Cross Cairns and Centacare FNQ and Our Place #wearecairnswest. The Mooroobool Womens Yarning Circle meets every Tuesday from 10am to 12noon at Mooroobool Hub on Long Street, Mooroobool. Everyone is welcome to drop in for a coffee and a yarn.

07.01.2022 Today we celebrated the official re-opening of the Mooroobool Hub. Thank you to everyone who attended and made this such a special day. Special thanks to Carl Fourmile for doing the traditional Welcome to Country ceremony, Pastor Michael Gela and Pastor Lloyd Beihler for blessing of the Hub, Michael Healy MP, QPS, Australian Red Cross, the lovely ladies from the Women’s Yarning Circle, families that helped to decorate the property and all of the community and Elders who came along.
