18.01.2022 #WildlifeWednesday - This little guy is a Peppermint Stick Insect. They live on just a few types of pandanus palms in Cape Tribulation and the Wet Tropics. When they feel threatened, they defend themselves by spraying a fluid that means like - you guessed it! PEPPERMINT!

All guests booked for travel on the Skyrail this afternoon please proceed to the Skyrail terminal at your scheduled time where you will be directed to board coaches for the return to your hotel. Please return your boarding pass to the Down Under Tours hostess at the Skyrail Smithfield Terminal. You will be entitled to a partial refund please contact our reservations ...staff on 07 4047 9047 after 10am tomorrow to arrange. Our friendly staff are working hard to notify all affected passengers and wherever possible arrange travel for an alternative day. 08.01.2022 Our friends at Hartley's Crocodile Adventures are taking the opportunity to renovate some of their enclosures. This week the Reptile crew started work on the Reticulated Python enclosure in their Gallery of Living Art. This meant they needed to move Sally to a temporary enclosure, and thought everyone at home would love the chance to see how big she really is! Sally is currently the largest snake on display in Australia and measures in at just over 6m and around 100kg! Reposted from @hartleyscrocodileadventures via IG

01.01.2022 A couple of cute lorikeets hanging out at Birdworld Kuranda. Rainbow Lorikeets are widespread in eastern and northern Australia, and also around Perth. They are very charismatic
