25.01.2022 Thanks so much to Dusica and Daniel who were married at Lavender Hill, Kairi recently, for sending me this great new Cover Photo for my Facebook Page. Thanks too to Eva Karmalita for taking such wonderful natural photos of the wedding. Kay Cairns Weddings xx

25.01.2022 What a way to start the day of the 10/10/2020! Sand in our toes and a most beautiful sunrise! Shaun and Zara had chosen this day back in January 2020, determined that COVID was not going to stand in their way even though at the time they were living in Tasmania. Zara's dream was to have her wedding on Palm Cove Beach as the first rays of the sun appeared, and she certainly got her wish. Early start for us all but as they said their Vows, this glorious sunrise a...ppeared. Thank you Shaun and Zara for giving us this beautiful memory - may you enjoy so many more memories, and to Alison M Jones Photography Cairns for capturing the moments. xxx

23.01.2022 Nothing quite like a beautiful tropical garden in the Kuranda area to lift the COVID spirits and bring beauty into our lives. Luke and Fiona did just that on a busy wedding weekend late in June at Luke's Uncle's and Aunt's magnificent home in the rainforest. I loved that due to guest restrictions, groom Luke was also the official photographer. See him setting up his bride's entrance. ... I guess the 2 dogs didn't count as guests when it came to the restrictions imposed??? Another beautiful memory.!

23.01.2022 This is what a busy celebrant does when not helping couples get married and live 'happily ever after.....'

21.01.2022 Lovely wedding

21.01.2022 Where else would I rather be on a beautiful 16 degree afternoon in June 2020 than on a Malanda farm overlooking the rolling hills and paddocks with Mick and Natasha as they said their Vows. Such beautiful memories for us all! Thanks to you both for inviting me to share your day and moments. And thanks too to little 4 legged Molly in her pink angel outfit.

20.01.2022 I just knew that Clayton's and Emma's wedding would be a happy one right from the start. When I arrived guests were already deep in conversation catching up or enjoying a laugh. And then once the ceremony started, to look out at the guests and to know they were so much in tune with the love and happiness that Clayton and Emma had for each other, was the ultimate for me. ... Jason The Raw Photographer really captured the essence of the day with his photographs. I wish Emma and Clayton all the very best - lots of love and happiness in the years ahead. #countryweddings #marriage #happiness #RingersRest #therawphotographer

19.01.2022 Memories! Memories! Sharing a moment on a beach with the little PAGEBOY, JACOB, and finding a special Shell for Mummy and Daddy to keep.xx ELLY & RYAN - with Stars in their eyes! Happy-go-lucky Ryan, a US Marine who eloped to Cairns in 2010 with gorgeous partner Elly to marry in the Tropics before embarking on a tour of Afghanistan. Of course it poured with rain except for a brief 5 minutes but still they laughed! . Ryan returned home safe and sound and they ...have since started a family. Always SO lovely to stay in touch. xx Who could forget the gentle, but adventurous JAY & KATIE on the beach at Oak Beach! They met in Africa where Jay was a Tour Bus driver, heading South, and she a passenger on a bus going North. Their souls just clicked, she turned around and headed back down the track with Jay, and when they contacted me they were tandem-bike riding through Ireland and France. JOSEPH & BEKKY - had had a quick registry wedding - no flowers, no guests, no cake, no dinner, at home in the States, before Joseph set sail for a defending stand-off in the South China sea in 2012. Unbeknown to Joseph, Bekky contacted me and arranged a romantic rendezvous here in Cairns and surprised her husband a few months later, with a beautiful wedding Reaffirmation ceremony down on the waterfront, complete with cake, gown, flowers and dinner I don't know who cried the most - them or me! #marriageinthetropics #marriagecelebrantcairns #loveandmarriage #weddingcelebrantcairns #cairnsweddingcelebrant #cairnsmarriagecelebrant #marriageinaustralia #beachweddings

16.01.2022 Oh how I feel for all my couples who had planned one of the most joyous events of their lives within the next few months. No only my couples but all couples! Just stay focused on your dream. It will happen for you albeit a bit later than you had wished.... Have found that some think they have let down their family and friends who had booked flights - NOT SO, those same people would be relieved and happy that you chose wisely to make the changes. You postponed your wedding because of the love and concern you have for your guests, because they are all just so precious to you. This is what I love about weddings meeting people like Randy and Susan who flew in from the US for their wedding in January and whilst here, attended the Australian Open in January in Melbourne's blazing heat, and then returned home to celebrate once again in the midst of a Northern winter. I received the most beautiful email from them which I will always treasure. That's what weddings are all about - wonderful memories and wonderful couples! And wherever you are from in this great World, we are all in the same boat and will come out stronger and kinder people. Thinking of you all. Stay positive, eat well, stay safe and strengthen your love for each other. xx

15.01.2022 What a day the 10th of the 10th of 2020 was for so many lucky couples and none more so than Lyn and Donna who even managed a 10am - so this ("10") has just got to be their lucky number. We had Donna's family from Canada Facetiming in and Lyn's Dad and other family from NSW. It was such a happy occasion and the girls' description.... "It was awesome!" said it all!... It was a busy day but such a memorable and happy day! And THAT beach and THAT tree skeleton. Another great reason to recognize NQ beaches and Nature, as the BEST.

15.01.2022 A wedding that brought two Countries together - Australia and Serbia! and made two groups of people from different and far-off places - One big happy family! Lavender Hill, Kairi nestled on the slopes of Tinaroo Dam, provided the perfect backdrop for Daniel's and Dusica's marriage and to show Dusica's family a little of the beauty of the North. Daniel never expected his backpacking trip through Europe would bring him the love of his life when he met Dusica and... her family in Serbia, and Dusica never had doubts that Daniel would return and eventually make her his wife, and eventually, part of his family. A perfect day and I was so thrilled to be just a small part of this romantic day, knowing how hard these two had worked to bring this day to fruition. Well done Dusica and Daniel! You deserve so much happiness! And your Aussie family and friends really brought to the fore, our great hospitality and friendship in making the day such fun! Thanks too to Eva Karmalita for her great photos and bringing a touch of the Ukraine to the international flavour of the day. xxxoo #countryweddings #lakesideweddings #AthertonTablelands #marriagecelebrantcairns #kayearlcairnsweddings #relaxedwedding #budgetwedding #cairnswedding #LavenderHill #Tinaroodam

15.01.2022 My first "5 only" wedding on the last day of April for Jacky and Aimee was just so sweet. A new day dawned for them and a year that they will long remember - a new country for Aimee, a new husband and a new life! xx

14.01.2022 Julie and Rob from Bloomfield had extra special beings in their bridal party back in August - Harley and Bella - their much loved dogs. It was such a touching addition as Harley and Bella are so much a part of their lives - always with them even coming down in the truck when they pick up their supplies from Cairns. Via Zoom, they were introduced to Rob's family in Canada and won even more hearts.... Such a thrill to help Rob and Julie create this extra bit of 'animal magic' in their day. xx

11.01.2022 I just knew this wedding was going to be filled with so much love, excitement and happiness, in spite of COVID restrictions. But what a setting - overlooking the city - talk about 'shouting it from the highest rooftop' (albeit cliff!). So thank you Farah and Shelley, and can't wait for your next ceremony when you will be able to celebrate with family who weren't able to travel to be with you on this occasion. A second ceremony full of love, to plan and look forward to! Kay xx

09.01.2022 Love! Sparkes! and more Love! Who could forget the love and sparkle in the eyes of Bev and Paul from Brisbane as they said their Vows in St Mary Church by the Sea. Port Douglas recently. We'd already met at the Cairns Airport upon their arrival and the rapport that started with emails and phone calls, just became stronger upon actually meeting. ... The "eyes certainly have it" in their case. Paul first noticed Bev's eyes and she in turn saw the kindness in his, and as they said, there was definitely the 'WOW' factor! Thanks Paul and Bev for allowing me the greatest privilege to be a part of your lives albeit for such a short time. xxOO

07.01.2022 Thoughts and tears go out to all those folk and animals down South so badly affected by the tragic Bushfires.Thoughts and tears go out to all those folk and animals down South so badly affected by the tragic Bushfires.

06.01.2022 Happy Happy 1st Anniversary Meggan and Andrew! Just 12 months ago, on the 19th November, we experienced 2 consecutive days of 42.5 degrees. Who would want to be married under those circumstances? Meggan and Andrew chose to do just that on the 17th November and came all the way from Sydney for 2 magical days. We found a spot in the rainforest, and though humid, it was perfect for them. To have come all that way to melt away was not a worry!. And why would it be - i...t was their wedding day! Big shout out to Nadia Baxter who gave Meggan and Andrew lasting memories with their photos, Cakes Annietime for making the most perfect cake with only a few hours notice and Stella Florist for the beautiful, beautiful flowers. Every wedding must have it's magical moment and we all had ours after the ceremony when Meggan surprised us - witnesses, Nadia and myself with the most delicious picnic under a tree! Have a great celebration Andy and Meggan tomorrow ! And thanks for the memory! xx

05.01.2022 You could be wrong in thinking this photo was taken somewhere in historic England or Tasmania, but NO, it is in the Garden of the famed The Yungaburra Hotel on the Atherton Tablelands. that was built in 1910. Jamie and Jess were married here just recently and though the day was a little bleak, the sun and the blue skies shone through just when it was needed. And of course the bright Pink shirts and dresses of the bridal party made the spot "picture perfect'. But ...THAT STONE WALL and the Garden transformed us to another world. Jamie and Jess and little Axel, thank you SO much for asking me to be your celebrant on this wonderful occasion. You will always have special memories of your wedding day and having both Grandmothers to act as Witnesses, was unforgettable! xxx

05.01.2022 The busy Wedding Season for 2019 is almost over, and now 2020 is on the horizon - only weeks away! What a great season it was! My 2020 calendar is already starting to fill, so another year to look forward to, and more couples to make life-long friends with. Will never forget the moment I opened the Ultrasound scan result for Michelle and Josh to reveal their baby's gender "It's a girl!" How good is that for a memory to keep forever! See the photo to experience a litt...le of their joy So, with the new year ahead, it is a good time to start planning your wedding for 2020, whether it is large country wedding or an intimate small wedding with only a few friends and family. Be mindful of the dream you have always had in your heart of just how beautiful and meaningful your wedding day will be. Involve each other right from the start! Remember the pivotal moment will be when you say your Vows to one another, so in the months ahead, take note of the special/fun things you love about each other, and perhaps incorporate them into your Vows. So if you think you would like me to help you on this journey of 'getting married', let's meet up or have a chat over the phone. Kay .

04.01.2022 Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would marry Elvis, but I came close to it when Tony and Fiona asked me to help them create an Elvis inspired ceremony at St Mary Church by the Sea. Port Douglas by the Sea. Port Douglas in late December. Thank you both for such a wonderful memory! And what a thrill to help someone with their dream wedding. Fiona looked so beautiful in her golden lace dress, and Tony in his specially made suit exactly the same as the one El...vis was married in, AND made by the same tailors in Memphis when they recently visited Gracelands. Even had the proposal at the Wishing Well in Graceland's Garden! This was ..." the moment they'd waited for We all heard their hearts singing And soon the bells were all ringing!" #happyweddings #funweddings #loveisintheairweddings #relaxedwedding #personalweddings

03.01.2022 What more beautiful way to start a summer's day than to stand on a beach at sunrise looking across the bay to the city of Cairns just coming to light as two people said their Marriage Vows. My couple were just so much in love having endured a long distance (international) romance and just over the moon that this day had finally arrived. Bride's mum in Germany had arranged for a simple little bouquet of sunflowers for her daughter as a surprise. It was with so mu...ch gratitude that I was there with their 3 friends to see this moment eventuate. Love certainly does make the world go around as it did with these two wonderful people. #beachwedding #sunrisewedding #simpleweddings #romanticelopement #elopement #weddingincairns #sunsetwedding
