25.01.2022 Mother of my heart, Mother of my soul, Sweet Cacaocita, She's calling us home. Almost ten years ago I travelled many seas seeking something inside of me that was led by pure feeling. A deep soul throb that kept me moving from India over to Canada and all the way down to Guatemala. I landed in a place that can simply be summed as a vortex, also known as Lake Atitlan. To sum up this special portal would be impossible but I found myself there for six months discovering myself a...nd the first plant spirit I would dedicate myself to.. my beloved Cacao. My journey with Cacao goes far beyond one Cacao Ceremony and deeply into the true nature of discovering the yin and yang of this now world renowned plant and the incredible heart opening lessons she has to offer over a nine year span! My teacher Sharon Shamanic Energy Training likes to remind me that I was one of the first people to run a Cacao Ceremony in Australia! She also likes to remind me how much I let that plant run my life, dictate my decisions and basically complete possess me until I broke down from adrenal fatigue and had to stop! Learning how to work with a plant spirit, even the subtle ones is not an overnight path. I have worked with Cacao from serving 100+ people in 'ceremonies' (a huge no from present day me), dance celebrations, small group gatherings, chocolate making and even a cacao drink menu for a juice bar way back in 2014! To say that I know this plant inside out would be a lie but to say I know her deeply on an intimate, wholesome level would be truthful. I know Cacao so deeply because she broke my heart, my spirit and my life apart and ever so fabulously put it all back together again. What some people do not realise about working with plant spirits is that when we truly commit to one, we are asking all aspects of the plant to work through us so that we may serve it in a completely neutral way. Until we have learnt to master both sides of the coin then we truly do not know a plant or how to serve it. My story with Cacao is one I am proud to share because I have earned her medicine over a long period of time and now wish to work with her in a way that truly serves others. 12.01.2022 Over the years I have often thought about hands and what they bring to the world. If it wasn't for hands, we would not have food, we would not have vessels to eat from, we would not have fingers to hold and we would not be able to caress or stroke. I have often thought about my own hands and the miracles that they bring into my life. I have quirky hands that are very expressive and say much about who I am and how I feel by the way they move.... I feel the world through my hands and fingertips and it is through them I find my deepest connection to Spirit. Through soil in my palms, stroking my partner's face, bending clay upon a wheel, cutting a carrot or feeling the energy of a room. Because of my hands, I am being led out of my catering work of the last seven years and into my healing work. My food has always been my deepest offering and will remain with me as my medicine for those closest to me, but as I grow older in my craft, my desire to offer my service through my healing and ceremony work beckons me forward and into being the leader and space holder I have refined myself to be. I look forward to opening this space and my hands to many of you. In the next month or so I will be coming out of my spiritual closet and offering the services I have so diligently trained and lived in for the last ten years.
