25.01.2022 Sugar flowers have long been used to embellish celebration cakes. There are various methods for creating them those piped from royal icing or buttercream and those hand formed from sugarpaste or flower paste which can be wired or non-wired. With the exception of the wired flowers, all (presuming they have been made in hygienic circumstances) are edible and food-safe. Sugar flowers which have been created by experts in their field can be so beautiful they are hard to distinguish from the real thing.
