24.01.2022 What a week...I haven’t been able to find words the last few days. Firstly my heart goes out to all of those who’s events have been effected with the recent announcements. I hope with everything that what these sacrifices mean is that we will be able to spend Christmas with our families this year. ... As it stands all orders in the coming weeks are on hold until more information is available, as essential as delicious cakes are we don’t make the cut! As per last lockdown all deposits are transferable but not refundable so if you are deciding to cancel your occasion before we find out more, please let us know. As it stands we won’t be taking any new orders for the new year until things become clearer. Now all we can do is wait, hope and look after each-other. Stay safe

Now weve got a new boss calling the shots at a very fussy 4 weeks old its become most important that these simple steps are followed to ensure both our work and family life isnt effected. We understand Its pretty late in the year to start implementing new(ish) guidelines however we feel that introducing them now will make for a smoother more organ...ised transition into next year. Firstly and most importantly we are BUTTERCREAM Cakes only - No FONDANT We also will not copy someone elses design- any images sent through will be used for inspiration but not completely copied. Please make sure youre familiar with the style of cakes we provide and that that aligns with your vision. $50 Deposit must be paid via bank Transfer (on the day of) reserving specific dates- without a deposit your dates will not be held and you will need to enquire again once you are ready to book. *Deposits are non refundable* Outstanding balances must be paid In cash on pickup- or 5 business days prior to pickup when via bank transfer. Weekday pickups are between 5pm and 6pm OR Saturday morning between 9am-10am. *unless arranged otherwise* **You are responsible to make sure you are available/ on time to these pickup times. We are not obliged to offer an alternative time for a lapse in memory** ***Long weekend pickup times and days will vary*** Generally the bulk of our messages will be seen too Monday-Tuesday. 23.01.2022 JANUARY- MID FEBRUARY FULLY BOOKED and the rest of the year is filling up, with scattered dates already fully booked. We hope that everyone had a beautiful Christmas and New Years!... What a whirl wind the holiday season is, I spent a few hours last night wading though my messenger and unfortunately having to turn away most of the enquires due to being fully booked! Just a reminder, I am having a limit of orders per week this year so **PLEASE** For late February onwards get your dates reserved to avoid disappointment. If you for some reason haven’t received a reply from me, please re send that through My inbox has been slammed since Christmas so no doubt I’ve missed something! If you have a Christmas order with us but haven’t got back in regards to pickups days and times please do so! Also remember all outstanding payments unless arranged otherwise need to be made before pickup.... If you are sick please send someone else. Please keep a safe (social) distance from other customers. Please be courteous of others when picking up and also of our neighbours by not parking across or too close to drive ways ect. It is Christmas time and that goes for everyone including us, we’re pretty understanding gals but if we can ask one thing it is that you set a reminder for your pickup and make it within the pickups times provided. Keep an eye out for a post if you’ve missed out, well be boxing up any random left overs Xmas Eve morning for an afternoon pickup we however won’t be taking pre orders for these, first in gets them! 22.01.2022 **PLEASE READ** Hey legends, Thank god we’re talking about a new year, this ones had all the energy I’m willing to give it If you’ve messaged regarding an order for next year in the last few months, please have a read through this post and re send your enquires. I will get to them in the next few days, as we have officially opened next diary (a little later then anticipated sorry ) ... There will be loads of changes in 2021, I’m so excited to really focus on a healthier work and life balance. Every week will have an order cap that I won’t be exceeding, all this simply means is that if you require a cake for a specific date, get in contact and secure it with a deposit ASAP. Speaking of, a minimum $50 deposit is mandatory (per order) at the time of booking. You don’t have to lock in a design or any specifics but you do have to reserve your dates. If you haven’t paid your deposit after 24 hours you will need to re enquire to see if the dates are still available. Probably the biggest change for us, UNLESS you have contacted us prior to now about a wedding booking OR have had to postpone due to covid we won’t (at this stage) be taking orders for any more weddings. It’s a decision I have made purely to benefit my family life. The commitment that weddings take is more then I am able to offer at this time. Pickups will continue to be between 4-5pm on a Friday night and 9-10am on a Saturday morning NO SUNDAY PICKUPS. For those of you who know me, you guessed it.. question marks to prompt a reply continue to be the most painful thing in the world to me and I recently gave birth so that’s saying something question marks DONT and WONT get a response so if you fear your enquiry has been missed please simply re send. I will be setting aside entire weeks off throughout the year. A month ago I cracked a little tantrum and said one week off a month but I’m done pouting and will settle for one week off every 2 months these weeks will be a mixture of both specific dates and what ever is left free so once again please please reserve your dates ASAP because once they are booked they are booked. I’m really excited for what all of these new changes mean, it means we can really focus all of our energy on the orders we have as well as improving our organisation, home life and a trillion other things. The relationships we build with our customer both new and old are honestly the greatest thing we take away from every year, even the hard ones so we thank you all. COVID: If you have had to postpone your order this year and transfer a deposit please get in contact to re book we will do our best but unfortunately we can’t guarantee the dates just because you had a prior booking, they need to be reserved. 22.01.2022 We were absolutely blessed with perfect weather yesterday for Archers birthday and even more importantly perfect coffee The biggest thank you to @cuppaginos I know my guests were absolutely stoked not only to have a nice hot cup of coffee with their cake but also we received so many comments on Ginos personality and good sports accomodating even the craziest of families (mine ) which to me is almost as important when your trying to create an atmosphere. I could not recommend both @cuppaginos and this style of coffee and cake in the park parties, it definitely takes the weight off of a busy mums shoulders when party planning

17.01.2022 Hey lovelies Just wanted to take 5 to write a little piece on the safe travelling and keeping of your cake. It hopefully comes as no surprise that if your ordering from us your purchasing a buttercream iced cake. Years and years of a fondant trend has really buggered is in the sense that people are used to being able to leave there cakes out of refrigeration, probably even throw it at a wall and that bloody thing won’t break I’m joking don’t throw your fondant cakes at w...alls it’s expensive stuff. Especially in the warmer months buttercream can struggle but for me the risk is definitely worth it for the overall taste. Please don’t make the mistake of reading this or the note in our pickup reminders and thinking she’ll be right because more often then not, she won’t be. Unfortunately There are no ways around it other then to keep your cake properly refrigerated until your event. Most venues offer fridge space for you, and let’s be honest if your paying $100 plus for a cake move out those left overs out from your fridge the day before pickup or tell mum and dad your taking over their spare fridge in the garage. Once your cake is out at your event there’s really no way around it, and Ofcourse weather plays a huge factor, a few hours in 35 degree heat in and it’s probably a bit of a sweaty hot mess but aren’t we all especially at kids parties We choose to transport my cakes on the passenger floor however if you are picking up a larger cake order please be prepared with someone to help hold or steady or just keep your mind at ease. As I said these custom cakes are not cheap and they do take a hell of an amount of time. Technically you’ve paid for it what you do with it is your business but We are invested in you having a quality looking and tasting product for your event. Thanks legends, sorry for rambling but please keep this in mind when ordering buttercream.

At this stage we will no longer be taking any new orders for this year excluding a couple of specials we have planned for teachers gifts and Christmas. I’m really sorry to anyone who has missed out on placing an order with us but the truth is this year has been a really draining one to run and maintain a business and if Im being honest I’ve really struggled recently to stay on top of things so both Jules and myself just need a little breather. This will have no effect on our existing orders in fact it’ll give us the opportunity to really focus our energy on those. If we do find that we have dates become available in the next few months I will advertise them. I know people are eager to get their dates booked in for next year, I completely understand I’ve been hesitant to re open that diary with the mess that covid has made of this years however you will be able to start booking for 2021 as of the 1st of November. I’ll have a post prepared for that and also some information on next years booking as we will be setting (and sticking too) a weekly limit as well as having cake free weeks to try and ensure some better balance and a couple of happier bakers.
