25.01.2022 Sold by Commission - "Hot Nights" 150x100cm by Carl (CAKUart)

25.01.2022 Serene Stingers by Carl (CAKUart) 60 x 60cm Acrylic On Canvas. I've been commissioned to paint a lot of different things. Many have been Inspiring, challenging...... ...and some a tad offbeat... Some years ago a lady, who was terminally ill with only had two weeks left to live, commissioned me to paint her coffin with images that inspired her. I can still see my wife’s face, who happened to be standing in our front garden, watching a funeral hearse reverse up our driveway to deliver a coffin for me to paint. : ... , ? : , . : : ’ . : : . : : ( ) ...'......' kooky , ... Needless to say, when I was asked to paint freshwater sting rays, I had to do some research. The first place was... Seeing what they actually looked like. I’d never seen one before. Like really seen one...properly. Then I had to study their unique patterns. I went over hundreds of images and watched videos. Although their body patterns look sporadic, if you study them close enough you’ll see that everything is actually in complete alignment... (did I sound like Sir David Attenborough just a smidgen right there?) I may not have captured that as well as I should have in a painting, as after all... ...there has to be element of art that is slightly removed from the reality. If you are looking for your own commissioned painting, PM me. https://bluethumb.com.au/carl-kuerschner Happy to chat. Peace Carl

24.01.2022 Want To Learn To Paint..like real groovy style, proper? Read on my friend... I’m piecing together an art course blueprint that will be... Online classroom (member login) Pre-recorded Video content learn at 2am if you want Step 1 Step 2 style learning Canvas art (oil and acrylic, brush, pallet knife) Landscape(Seascape)/Portraiture(Human Form)/Abstract/Pet Portrait-Animal I wont just be touching on painting - we'll also immerse into mindsets to avoid what I call the mind-junk. Mind-junk stops a lot of creative people too much, too often. I certainly know all about it - almost made me want to stop painting completely once apon a time. Anyway, I'll show how to jump that hurdle and create a new path. But I do need to know what you want, so... If you want to be CAKUart-ified...and would like to join the CAKUart Creative Academy.... 22.01.2022 Letting Go From TV, Pills, Drink, Work and Gossip by Carl (CAKUart) 91.2 x 91.2cm Acrylic on canvas. People are desperate to stay unconscious. We use any form of distraction we can - anything to stay in a dreamlike state. ... TV, pills, drink, gossip We end up absorbing unnecessary and unchosen data that gets poured into us. Society doesn’t deal well with the concept of inner awareness. For the most part, people are terrified of facing themselves. Some even dread a moment alone. So we distract ourselves with frantic activities and quite often, pointless socialising, texting, scanning news feeds and talking about a whole bunch of stuff unrelated to our inner voice. All this distraction actually requires enormous amounts of energy to sustainall for the sake of keeping down repressed feelings Or to avoid what we really should be doing. This causes a loss of awareness, and stifles growth. It stops creative energy and real genuine, sincere interest in other people. I know because I speak from experience. I have often been the last one to leave the baror worked until I collapsed. The real cause of stress is not actually external. It is internal. It’s caused from living in this constant readiness to act, flee, to escape and react to fear. And the readiness to act is dependent on the amount of fear that exists from within someone already. The people in this painting may seem to be soaking up paradise. But the reality is they have managed to escape the 24 hour shit storm that is their life for a fleeting moment to simply reflect touch the water, the sun, and be surrounded by a creature (the dog) that lives in the present moment with absolute precision. ** Available for purchase, PM me to enquire. I does PM proper back coz that’s the kinda guy I is. (wink) Just sayin. Peace Carl

22.01.2022 Can you see the two faces in the main face? One represents the girl that is always on show, and the other represents... ...the real girl within.... Title: "Lady Vogue" by Carl (CAKUart) - Acrylic and Charcoal on canvas - 94cm X 60cm - For a better view ad purchase options click here >> https://bluethumb.com.au/carl-kuerschner/Artwork/lady-vogue Thanks for dropping by - I appreciate it. 22.01.2022 Yes...a painting. Port Willunga" - Oil on canvas by Carl (CAKUart) 65cm x 52 cm. Perhaps you clicked the see more... in the hope of reading something half interesting...... Well... I do have a confession to make. Every time I step in front of the canvas, it’s a battle. But it’s a worthy battle. Then the guy at the back stands up and yells... Oh pffft...a battle my arse....you make it look so easy, Carl It’s a little ironic when I hear that because the truth is.... I am permanently in a state of concentrating into agony. Hey, but wait... I’ve also catered to the people who are prone to dissing my work...and they do...and that’s ok... Pffft...I don’t see what’s so great about what you do (sound of screeching brakes) My default response is... Awesome, do not waste another second trying to...get on with your life...there’s so much you could be doing instead of working out if I’m worthy or not Some people don’t like you or what you do because your spirit irritates their demons. It’s just how it is. Besides, you and me....we got enough going on, so we don’t need to be bothering ourselves with the critics. In fact most of us don’t have the mental bandwidth to deal with most of the stuff we have to deal with in our lives... Especially in times like we are living in. So we either seek meditation... Or we create disruption. Meditation... Painting/Fishing/Reading/Helping others etc Is kinda like putting the ego into a coma. Worthwhile effort. Disruption however, is letting the ego believe every single media news headline... Drinking a bottle of bourbon and getting on social media to hate on people... Deliberately tripping up loved ones with verbal passive aggressive behaviour... And never being available when you’re most needed. And...playing golf...which incidentally is a great way to ruin a perfectly good walk. So I guess what I’m saying is... I paint.... Because I fear the alternative could see me wildly drunk running down Main Street naked inside a sandwich signboard that reads the end of the world is nigh! while hurling a 7-iron in the air. So... I prefer the battle of trying to paint. Even if it ain’t easy. I do know it is better for public safety (wink). And it looks great on peoples walls. Just sayin’. If your looking for something to adorn your wall, head to: https://bluethumb.com.au/carl-kuerschner You can also PM me to chat about a commission painting. So do that. Thanks for dropping by. I appreciate it. Peace Carl

20.01.2022 Wife: ... , ? Me: , . Wife:... Me: ’ . Wife: Me: . Wife: Neighbour: ( ) ...'......' kooky , ... _

20.01.2022 "Glamorous" by Carl (CAKUart) 50 x 50cm x 3cm Acrylic on canvas You may notice the girl in this painting is slightly warped and twisted in design. I’ve done this deliberately...... ...to represent the fabricated believe that to be somebody... ...to be acknowledged and to have people respect you for doing what is falsely expected of you... ...that you need to change your intrinsic design... ...even despite being completely uncomfortable doing it... ...is a debilitating mindset to operate with. Unfortunately so many people are not aware that it is okay to say no. It’s okay to say, I just want to be me. This painting is a reminder to be who you are and not change your design against better judgement simply to fit in... ...because when you do... ...you actually buckle and dilute your authenticity. You are glorious... ...no matter what you've experienced... ...haven't experienced... ...and have yet to do... ...and have decided not to do. And to the girl that inspired me to paint this... ...who was made to feel excluded because she didn't look right... ...or fit the part... ...and didn't agree to participate in something that did not match her true design... ...you are glamorous in your current form. Be who you are proudly. Just sayin’. PM me to enq for purchase Peace Carl

18.01.2022 "Mortley Crue" by Carl (CAKUart) 76 x 38cm Acrylic on canvas - sold commission for Sue & Dave... A lady once asked me when I was exhibiting... How are you so sure about what you do? Do you ever experience uncertainty?... I replied Well, yes I dobut uncertainty is what essentially creates fear and anxiety, and that is f'n exhausting. So I practice being grateful and listening to stupidly loud music if I can. Gratitude and passion will often knock uncertainty on its arse. Now for something completely unrelated If you've ever wanted to commission someone (Hi there!) to paint you a vision... Maybe a certain someone. But the hardest part you are dealing with is making the initial contact... I get it. It's spooky. We are busy. There are priorities. And perhaps it's not in your budget. All these things you feel will come up in the conversation. And that is awkward perhaps. But if it means anything to you... I have those same priorities. I too, experience awkwardness (oh.. you've no idea). But it all starts with a simple PM message... "Carl, are you able to chat about a painting I'd like..." You can verify where it can take you by looking at the paintings other people now have hanging in their homes and offices... All because they started that initial conversation with me. And this is the biggest golden nugget... I am very grateful for their trust. Just sayin'. PM me if you want/should have/gotta have that nude wall dressed in great art! Peace. Carl

05.01.2022 If you listen long enough into the song backing this painting... You'll come to a magic middle eight, where I sing... "There’s a friend of mine who spends his whole life... feelin' he’s running out of time yeah he’s not the only one. There’s a friend of mine who spends his whole life feelin' he’s running out of time yeah he’s not the only one" I had a friend who was obsessed with this feeling that he was running out of time and would never really be still enough to live in a moment in order to appreciate life properly. At least, not without frustration and anxiety hovering in the back of his mind. Where I sing, "Yeah he's not the only one"... That was me kind of rolling my eyes, and saying - "yeah, I suffer from that problem too, pal". Hence the reason for the title of this painting, the power of now. We are always chasing tomorrow and/or reflecting on yesterday. Yesterday is only a memory - tomorrow is never guaranteed. There is really only now. The girl on the beach is the embodiment of being present living in the now. A reminder. I recognised a problem many years ago, but found a solution much later on in life. If you like the song, you can access it here: http://www.CakuartMusic.com If you love the painting you can see it close up here: https://cakuartgallery.com//p/power-of-now-by-carl-cakuart Thanks for hanging out. I appreciate it. Peace Carl
