24.01.2022 Beginner Strings are excited and ready for their performance

22.01.2022 Show Week Show week will be restructured for CGEN 2021, due to the current COVID-19 health crisis. A detailed COVID Safe Event Plan will be implemented and followed regardless of the easing of restrictions across Queensland, and may be heightened in the instance of a second wave. These changes include the introduction of online registration/check-in, doubling the backstage area (we are calling for more teacher stage crew in 2021 to support this increase in space backstage, pl...ease refer to page 33 of the Program Guidelines for more information) and shifting the structure of the performances to allow for an increased cleaning period between audience departure and re-entry. As such, performances will be running across 3 days in 2021, please see dates and times below. The CGEN team are working to build a detailed show week schedule which will be distributed early in 2021, however as a guide for schools who have previously been involved, all scheduled activity will be pulled forward a day from previous years. For example, the regional dance rehearsal, usually held on the Tuesday of show week, will likely be held on Monday 12 July in 2021. Performance dates and times for CGEN 2021 are: 6 pm, Thursday 15 July 2021 12 pm, Friday 16 July 2021 7 pm, Friday 16 July 2021 2 pm, Saturday 17 July 2021 See more

Thanks to Gateway to Industry: Food, Wine & Tourism for making Hayley’s visit possible.

19.01.2022 This term, Year 2s have been inquiring into ways we can take action in our How We Organise Ourselves Unit of Inquiry. One way we took action was to reduce the amount of plastic we bring to school by creating Litter Free Lunchboxes. Some students decided to put up posters around the school to encourage others to put their rubbish in the bin. Other students have decided to create a Clean Up Crew to make our school environment cleaner and improve our system of recycling.

They have shown respect to the instructors during their lessons and have made their teachers very proud. We are confident that they will achieve the goals that they set for themselves prior to attending swimming. The children are thoroughly enjoying their lessons!
