24.01.2022 Project Update - Eastlakes Live The aim of this project is to fully renew the centre which will provide the local community and future residents with shops, services and community spaces within a modern, architecturally designed town centre. As you can see our collaboration with Crown Group Holdings Pty Ltd is progressing nicely with the northern site expected to be completed by the beginning of 2021. Great project.... 21.01.2022 Project Flashback - Amelie Housing, Merrylands Calcono was proud to work a long side Hacer Group to complete this project in November 2019. This development comprises of 1 basement level, 78 apartments split between 4 levels and a ground floor landscaped area. ... This job required a grand total of 17,000m2 of formwork to complete, using conventional formwork and Faresin Table System. All lifts, stair cores including some walls were formed using the Dincel Wall System. Bringing the total cost of this formwork project value to $1.95M. 21.01.2022 Project Award | Gore Hill Data Centre, Artarmon. We are very pleased to announce that we will be partnering up with Hutchinson Builders on the project for the new Gore Hill Data Centre in Artarmon, known as Project Gondola. The project consists of inground works plus 6 suspended levels. We have commenced early works package to transfer beam. Our formwork to this beam will hold a whopping over 500m3 of concrete once poured. 17.01.2022 Project Completion Somerset Private Hospital, Kingswood Calcono were honoured to collaborate with @Hacer Group to complete this project back in December 2019, taking approximately 11 months to complete. The project involved the construction of a 4-storey facility which included the Somerset St Private Hospital and various specialist health services. In addition, the construction included a café and 4 basement levels containing a total of 172 vehicle spaces.... A special feature of the project included forming a suspended radiation bunker which consisted of a 1200mm thick slab, a 2200mm thick beam and 1200mm thick walls. 16.01.2022 PROJECT UPDATE | Eastlakes Live The Eastlakes Live Team & Crown Group Holdings Pty Ltd have been progressing well over the last few months. Basements, Podium & Building 3 rising 8 levels have been poured & stripped to date, consisting of approximately 50,000m2.... The team is pushing hard to top out the remaining 7,000m2 of Building 1 & 2 to hopefully wrap this impressive project up by the end of the year! Can’t wait to see the finished product. 16.01.2022 Project Update Gosford Hospital Health & Wellbeing Precinct (HWP) Calcono is proud to continue to work alongside @Richard Crookes Construction on this ongoing project, the redevelopment of Gosford Hospital Health & Wellbeing Precinct, which consists of two Buildings, Tower A & Tower B. Base Build of Tower A Stage 2, is now complete. It was completed in May 2020, taking approximately 6 months to finalise main works and structure.... This stage comprised of 7,250m2 of Net Lettable Area (NLA) for Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute (CCCSRI) with a gross floor area of 11,306m2. Along with HV & LV infrastructure works including 2 new substations. Calcono is looking forward to the next stage of this project. Calcono is pleased to announce that we are partnering up with Deicorp again on another exciting project to complete the revival of Petersham RSL and 50 new apartments.... 11.01.2022 PROJECT FLASHBACK | Boheme Bondi Flashback to one of our past projects completed in 2013. Boheme Bondi, with its wavy, curved edges & off-form finishes was a great opportunity for Calcono to demonstrate their excellence in innovation & formwork solutions.... Calcono designed and produced prefabricated steel edge boards to create the curved perimeters of the building. These were reused to deliver a high-quality finish & cost/time effective solution. Another feature was the finish to upstand walls in the ‘Through-link’ walkway which was achieved with the use of rough sawn Oregon boards in-lieu of standard plywood. 07.01.2022 PROJECT FLASHBACK | Newmarket Apartments, Randwick Taking a look back at this project which was completed by Calcono partnering up with Ganellen, with main works completed in 2019 and minor works finished earlier this year. Once a home for race horses, this historic property was turned into a large scale mixed use development featuring residential units, terraces, outdoor spaces, restaurants, cafes and retail amenities. ... A total 87,500m2 of formwork was used to complete this project with a value of approximately $12m. 07.01.2022 Flashback - Calcono turns 30! In November last year, Calcono celebrated 30 years in the formwork business. What a milestone! To celebrate, an exciting day was planned full of good food, family fun and laughter. A great day was had by all!... Calcono Formwork Contractors has certainly come a long way in the last 30 years. The business was founded by Vincenzo Calautti in 1989 and by his side his wife Felicia. Fast forward to the present and Calcono Formwork Contractors is now run by their three dedicated sons. The true epitome of a family business. From humble beginnings which started in the back room office of the family Caringbah home, with plans being drawn on a homemade plywood drawing table, to what the company is today, with an office in Punchbowl and working with clients such as Deicorp, Richard Crookes, Ganellen, Hansen Yuncken and CPB to complete projects of up to $30 million. 04.01.2022 PROJECT COMPLETION | Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre It’s exciting to announce the completion of the Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre. This project is situated within the City of Sydney’s new Green Square precinct. The Gunyama Centre is the largest pool complex to be built in the city since the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.... The main works of this project consists of a 50m heated outdoor pool set within a larger beach pool; a 25m heated indoor and leisure pool; skate bowl and fitness training circuit; and multipurpose sports field gym, cafe and crèche. Formwork of over 13,000m2 was required for all of the above elements. Particularly challenging was the forming of the pool walls & other architecturally curved walls spaced out over the whole site. Also, a large portion of the concrete elements are exposed so achieving a quality high class formwork finish was hugely important. The finishes achieved are a clear indication of the expertise of Calcono’s team members and the passion that 30 years in the industry brings. 02.01.2022 PROJECT AWARD | Foveaux Street, Surry Hills. Calcono is excited to be working with @Infinity Constructions Group to redevelop an existing six storey commercial building in Surry Hills. The project includes two basements, new rooftop, extra atrium area and three facades. Infill slabs to be formed, new lift and stair core is to be constructed with new and refurbished columns. From our humble beginnings - which started in the back room office of the family home in Caringbah - with plans being reviewed on a homemade plywood drawing table, to what the company is today.... Vincenzo has been involved in the formwork industry for over 40 years and has been working with clients such as Deicorp, Richard Crookes, Ganellen, Hansen Yuncken and CPB to complete projects of up to $35 million. He has been passionate about growing the family business since its birth and creating better opportunities for family members, team members and clients. He is highly motivated and involved in multiple facets of the business. He particularly enjoys the onsite technical aspects of formwork. 02.01.2022 PROJECT UPDATE | Woolworths Kirrawee Shopping Centre The Kirrawee Team & Hacer Group have been working hard and going full steam ahead for a completion of this project by the end of the year. Calcono has been assisting Hacer Group with the formwork package and associated concrete structure works.... This project consists of footings, Basement SOG & suspended Ground Floor spanning just under 10,000m2. As you can see it is perfect project for the use of our Faresin Alufort system. You will see from the attached photos, ground floor pour 5 slab was completed last week and pours 6 & 7 are being formed up ready for the next stage. Pour 8 left to go! Watch this space.
