19.01.2022 And there’s MORE! More changes to JOBKEEPER announced by the Federal Government yesterday. These changes are in response to the situation in poor old Victoria but will apply to all businesses across Australia. * Changes are an update to the previous Jobkeeper announcement on 21st of July and will apply from the end of September. ... * GST turnover ONLY has to drop one quarter not two as previously announced (so June or Sept quarter ok, but both are not necessary) * Eligible employees covered now include those on the books at the 1st of July 2020 (previous was 1st of March) So a couple of improvements but the $ dollar amounts remain the same. 12.01.2022 Update to the small business COVID-19 recovery grant! This grant was announced last month but was quite restrictive as to which businesses were considered "highly impacted" by the pandemic. Good news! The NSW Gov has decided to broaden the categories out to include a number of other industries including:... Creative artists, musicians, writers and performers Motion picture and video production, Music and other sound recording activities, Post-production Services and Other Motion Picture and Video Activities. In order to be eligible for this $3,000 grant you need to be in a defined "impacted" industry, have a 30% decline in revenue and meet a bunch of other tests.
