20.01.2022 I’m writing this post with a heavy heart but it’s a decision Im more then happy to make. I have decided to give up singing. A couple years ago when my kids weren’t at school it was great I got to spend plenty of time with them during the day and then when I gigged at nights they were usually in bed. Now all three of my babies are at school and I no longer see them throughout the day and most nights I leave around 430 to get to gigs and set up when I get home they are all in... bed, I feel like I no longer see them and that’s not the type memory I want to leave them with. Singing is definitely my passion and deeply personal to me but my babies will always come first in all my decisions. So I’ve decided to go back to a normal day job which is a heck of a lot less money but it leaves my nights free for my children and wife. I would love to thank everyone that has supported me in my singing career the friends I have made at gigs, my wife who has stood by me through the first year which was a very difficult time trying to make a living off music when I knew absolutely nothing about the music industry! My mumager Robyn Lafaitele my sister Angela Lafaitele who bought me my first pa and was my number one fan lol. The venues who have booked me month after month Surfers Paradise Golf Club De Vito Waterfront Tugun Bowls Club Mudgeeraba Lawn Bowls Club South Tweed Sports Domanis Cafe | Restaurant | Bar , the singers who have blessed me with their voices and experience, special shout out to Soulcutz Benson who took me in as a green young man and spent a good couple of months teaching me the ropes Tarscha De Vito & Dave who took me in as a old fart and taught me even more and Sana Faifai and Ivan Karaitiana who helped me out with my Trio. I will be finishing out the majority of my gigs for the rest of this year, I hope I can catch up with you guys at any of my remaining gigs. Thanks for the good times and great memories everyone.
