22.01.2022 Assaulting a bus driver in South Australia could land you 25 years in prison. But bashing your partner carries a maximum penalty of only four years. How can we say we are taking domestic violence seriously when the penalties are so low? It's time to get serious and hand down the sentences these scumbags deserve. My column in The Advertiser today.

20.01.2022 The Port Adelaide Magpies have been part of the SANFL since its inception as the SAFA in 1877. Now the AFL tells them they can't field a team this year if they're to compete in the national league. I'm a Redlegs man, but this is not on. There is no SANFL without Port Adelaide. Their culture, history and passion are vitally important to the league. At a time when the SANFL is struggling more than ever, this is a disappointing blow from the Victorian-centric AFL.

18.01.2022 There is no excuse for not vaccinating your child. In fact, it’s tantamount to child abuse. If you don't vaccinate your child based on some pseudoscientific hogwash, you ought to be charged with some kind of crime. My column in The Advertiser today.

17.01.2022 Serial paedophile Gary John Tipping has repeatedly abused young boys, but keeps being let out of gaol. In October, he broke the rules of his latest release - and now the Supreme Court is going to let him out again. How many times do you have to disobey the law before they work out you're too dangerous to be released? My column in The Advertiser.

10.01.2022 I don't have a problem with making a small alteration to the national anthem. To change "we are young and free" to "we are one and free" would make no material difference to the meaning of the song. It simply bolsters the purpose of any national anthem - to unite the people of its country. Personally, I'm not a great fan of the anthem to start with. As far as national anthems go, it's pretty weak. An anthem should be rousing and inspirational. I'm not sure being "girt by sea"... achieves that. I've had some spine tingling moments as the anthem plays at the beginning of the Adelaide Test, tens of thousands of people standing to feel the same thing. But that doesn't mean we can't do better.

10.01.2022 It's safe to go outside again because I'm forcing dirty lefties to shower.
