24.01.2022 Good morning! We would like to thank the Calen and surrounding community for your support over the last 2 1/2 years. You have been so welcoming and supportive to us. But the time has come for us to move back home closer to family. ... We now would like to welcome Zoe Simpson to the Calen Post Office. Zoe will be taking over as Postal manager at the Post Office. We also have had Bindi Ryan taking on the mail run the last couple of months. Bindi has been doing a fantastic job. Be sure to keep an eye out for Bindi and say hi! Also we will be changing our hours in the new year. 8:30am - 12pm 1pm - 5pm Mon - Fri Once again thank you all for support & ongoing support for Zoe & Bindi. Troy, Nicole and Bexley Xx

17.01.2022 Morning all we hope you are all well. With the rules changing daily, one thing is for certain. The elderly of the community are going to need help with shopping, banking, bill paying etc.... If we all could spread the word around to all elderly that they can ring the post to arrange any help they need. And will do our best the help out. Post Office: 07 4958 8280 Also this applies to the whole community. We will also be offering a delivery service for any post supplies or items you see available through Australia Post. Also with Easter just around the corner, we will take pictures of the stock we have left in the coming days & make a separate post. We will still be open for now. 17.01.2022 Evening all. Calen Post Office WILL remain open. With the challenging situation we find ourselves in, We have a few simple requests to keep ourselves and the community safe, especially the elderly. ... -If you are in self isolation or sick please DO NOT come in. (this has already happened) - 2 x customers at a time ( Floor space is too small for more ) COUNTER MAIL AND PO BOXES -If you have a PO BOX and you DO NOT have a key please call us to arrange one, access to PO BOXES from inside the Post Office is no longer available. -Anyone on Counter Mail is strongly advised to call to see if you have mail to minimise foot traffic inside the Post office. MAIL RUN -If you are on the mail run we will try to deliver every parcel we can to minimise foot traffic in the Post Office. Please inform us if you are expecting a large parcel, where you would like dropped off. eg. front veranda -If you have self isolated yourself and you have bills that you are wanting to pay. Please put them in your letter box with a CHEQUE, made out to Australia Post. Indicate with a peg attached to your mail box so Troy knows to pick it up. He will return your bill the next time you get mail. A phone call the day before would be very helpful. We greatly appreciate everyones efforts to work through the ever changing situation we all find our ourselves as a community. 11.01.2022 Just want to thank everyone for their support over the last two years. Unfortunately we have decided to move back to family and put the Post Office up for sale. We wanted to let everyone know in case someone local was interested in buying it. We will be renovating the kitchen and bathroom in the very near future. We wanted to give you the opportunity to buy it before hand if you are interested as the asking price will increase once these renovations are completed.
