22.01.2022 Today Di competed at the Australian Master’s Games in Adelaide! . She came away with pb’s in both squat and bench with a 60kg squat (2kg pb- and only just missing 63kg on depth), a 38kg bench press (1kg pb and 3/3) . Next up were deadlifts and she was in a position for a big total pb, it would be her first time pulling sumo in competition.... however due to a combination of slippery shoes, talc and flooring her feet slipped on her last 2 warm up attempts and then slipped on ...her opener at 85kg (which she had previously tripled in training), she changed shoes but missed the 85kg again on her 2nd....... so for her 3rd we decided to go back to conventional as sumo was not working for us today and increase her 3rd to 90kg to walk away with a 1kg total pb!!! She quickly did a single of 70, then 80 backstage and then absolutely nailed 90kg!!! This is 2kg short of her best deadlift and she hasn’t trained conventional for the last couple months!!! . Great work Di, you overcame a lot of obstacles today and still walked away with your best performance yet! Congratulations and well done for holding yourself together so well when it could of been very easy to throw the towel in!! 20.01.2022 @katie_ktpt and myself had the pleasure of coaching these strong ladies yesterday who competed at the all female @superiorstrengthsystems competition! . @ashleighclare__ went 9/9 (she hasn’t missed a lift in both her comps she’s competed in so far) winning her weight class and hitting pb’s in every lift with 142 squat (10kg pb), 63 Bench (3kg pb), 155 Deadlift (3kg pb) for a 360 Total (16kg pb) . @margaretpukallus4 who competed for the 3rd time already this year keeps chippi...ng away and adding to her total! At 69 years of age she finished with a huge 114kg deadlift with more room to move! . @rebekahforresttt was competing for her 2nd time and is becoming a very strong and consistent lifter! Awesome stuff Bec!! . @shirleycavey was competing for the first time and after overcoming some nerves you couldn’t wipe the smile off her face the entire day! 17.01.2022 Had the pleasure of coaching @_graciev_ and @margaretpukallus4 yesterday at @iron_underground for the last competition of the year! Both girls had very good days pb’ing in every lift and hitting a few personal milestones along the way! . @_graciev_ was competing in her 2nd Comp going 8/9 and would of been 9/9 if she had just waited for her press call on her opening bench she squatted 100kg (+3 Comp pb), benched 60kg (+6 Comp pb) and deadlifted 126kg (+6 Comp pb) for a 286kg... total (+15 Comp pb) . @margaretpukallus4 was competing for the 4th time this year and saved her best performance for last with her first 9/9 day! She squatted 80kg (+4 pb), benched 44kg (+1 pb), and deadlifted 115kg (+1 pb) for a 239kg total (+6 pb) . Bring on 2020 yewwwww See more

03.01.2022 PSA PRO TIP PLEASE SHARE. If everyone cancels or suspends their membership, gyms are not coming out the other side of this. Landlords (in general) don’t car...e, they are not offering rental breaks. MANY MANY gyms run on tight margins, and if they lose 25% of their memberships on cancel or pause, they aren’t paying rent. You can bet anyone working casual at a gym is losing their hours if things don’t let up. If you train at a big gym chain, maybe consider a smaller core gym while you have the hours/time to drive there, support or things will die. Of course, if you are being made redundant, had hours canceled or in financial woes, we get it (we are certainly feeling things ourselves). This is as real as it gets. We’ve had multiple gyms reach out saying if this goes into next month, they are shutting their doors. Scary, scary times. Again, please tag your gym below, and we’ll give them a shoutout. Gyms wanting a shout out, please post up the changes you have made to be compliant, and we’ll let people know they should go.

03.01.2022 Had the pleasure of coaching @jakewilliams_92 in his first powerlifting competition on the weekend at @brisbanenorthbarbell He handled himself extremely well on the platform with a 155kg squat (2.5kg above his best gym lift and only failed 161kg on a little technicality), He benched 118kg, and deadlifted 227kg (12kg above his best gym lift) for a clean 500kg total!! Jake’s willingness to learn and great worth ethic in training should see him put many kg’s on his total in the years to come.... exciting times ahead bro!!
