25.01.2022 Congratulations to the 5 members who passed their BF assessment this morning. The last couple of months training have been challenging and it’s great to see you finally pass your assessment.



25.01.2022 Morning All With all the restrictions around Covid 19 coming into place we want to assure you that we are equipped and able to respond to incidents. We have changed the way we do a few things to limit the potential impact should our crews be exposed to the virus. We just want you all to know we will still be here to support our community during this challenging time.

24.01.2022 The Pacific Highway is currently closes between Mt White and Calga due to trees across power lines. Crews from council and RMS are working to clear them as quickly as possible.

23.01.2022 Both Mt White trucks are currently on scene at a fire in the Peats Ridge area. After starting the day helping a local resident out with some hazard reducing on their property it's sure is a busy day for our volunteers! #NSWRFS

20.01.2022 We received a message and photo on our page today from a greatful resident of Batemans Bay. They passed on their thanks for defending their property after they chose to evacuate earlier in the day. It was great to hear from them.

20.01.2022 Last night we were called to this incident with our mates from Fire & Rescue NSW Station 341 Kariong and Kariong Rural Fire Brigade. Originally reported to be at the Calga interchange on the M1 (peats ridge rd x M1 motorway) With nothing found at this location our crews were then directed to the somersby interchange also peats ridge rd x M1 motorway, where the vehicle alight was found This mix up does happen fairly often on our stretch of the M1. Just a reminder that when you call 000 to give the best possible location of where you are and if in doubt the Emergency+ app is a good recommendation when your travelling through areas you aren’t familiar with

17.01.2022 HOME SAFELY! Central Coast Strike Team Alpha returned to the Central Coast today, including our crew from Calga/Mt White. They conducted Firefighting, Property Protection and Patrol operations in the areas of Bodalla to Batemans Bay. We got this happy snap in the process! ... Thanks to our Crew Leader, Crew and most importantly their families for all their efforts! #NSWRFS

17.01.2022 **FIRECALL** This evening at about 5:45 we responded to assist with manning Mooney Mooney RFS fireboat to a reported tree alight caused by a lightning strike in the area of wondabyne train station. Crews arrived on scene to assist Dangar Island Rural Fire Brigade and Brooklyn Rural Fire Brigade with finding and extinguishing the suspected tree which despite the recent rain still had some hotspots in and around it A good save with the suspected hot weather to return by the weekend

16.01.2022 Fire Permits - after the recent rain fall the brigade is now able to issue fire permits for fires that comply with the Central Coast Council's open burning policy.



13.01.2022 We want to say a huge Thank You to Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures for their generous donation. On Australia Day they were able to Raise $654 for the brigade.

12.01.2022 This afternoon Mt White 1 was deployed to the NSW South Coast. They have been deployed ahead of tomorrow's predicted fire conditions and will return Sunday. We wish them the best of luck and a safe deployment. Calga Mt White will have crew for our Catagory 7 tanker over the coming days.

08.01.2022 Again this season we are posting to express our shock and grief at the loss of our extended fire fighting family. Today bomber 134 crashed and all 3 on board lost their lives. Calga Mt White's thoughts are with the families of those who have passed away and Coulson Aviation in this difficult time. ... Below is a photo of when Coulson Aviation took what little down time they did have to show our brigade around there aircraft last season.

07.01.2022 There is sad news coming off the fire ground in southern NSW tonight. We have heard news of another Fire Fighter who has passed away during their duties. 2 others have been hospitalised in the same incident. Again this goes to show the dangers our volunteers face when they leave their homes and families to help the community. ... Our thoughts and best wishes are with everyone involved.

02.01.2022 Today we had the opportunity to conduct the first part of the Walkabout Wildlife park burn at calga Perfect time for our new firefighters to gain some experience for the season ahead We’d like to express our thanks also to the lovely man who shouted our crew some snacks

02.01.2022 **FIRECALL** This morning we were paged to reports of a truck fire on the M1 south of the Mooney creek bridge along with units from Kariong Rural Fire Brigade, Brooklyn Rural Fire Brigade and Gosford Bulk Water - NSW RFS Crews arrived on scene to find the prime mover fully involved Shortly after our arrival Mt white 1 was directed to a rubbish fire on the Old Pacific Hwy at calga lit sometime in the night by some night prowling motor vehicle enthusiasts We extinguished what remained of a small pile of tyres before returning to station for a much needed coffee.

01.01.2022 The State Wide Total Fire Ban continues today. There are large fines for having a fire in the open during a Total Fire Ban.
