10.01.2022 Love the clean, sharp lines of a deck that has been screwed straight?..... but at what cost? photos (3,4) are of a deck that was built only 5yrs ago, and its now being demolished and rebuilt for a couple of reasons, although most importantly because it had been nailed in a straight pattern. The problem with doing so, is it can split the joist down the middle, leading to water ingress into the joist and with no where to go will eventually rot the joist from the inside out.... The alternatives are either, to stagger the screws, left low, right high (photo 5) which is our preference, or installing a quality joist protection tape can reduce the effects. #Thatsthecalibredifference @ Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

01.01.2022 We have just commenced our Woolshed remodel in the beautiful Brindabella valley. Converting this existing woolshed, into short stay accommodation / facilities area.
