22.01.2022 Dear People! Brisbane Valley Cat Rescue is in trouble with ever increasing numbers of cats being dumped, abandoned and surrendered while adoptions are at an all time low. Within a year the cats being looked after by Louise have doubled in numbers. That means the rescue needs more supplies of pretty much everything. With the cold nights upon us, more warm cat beds, igloos and especially blankets are desperately needed. As a supporter and cat adopter of BVCR I have found that t...he cheapest and best supplies can be found at Kmart. What the cats at the shelter like best are the baby blankets for only $ 6 each. They are very versatile to use, quite big, very, very warm and dry extremely quickly after a wash. Of course these blankets are in the baby section of Kmart and they come in different colours. I have attached a few pictures. Six dollars is just a cup of coffee less at your next outing ;) So if you find it in your heart that you would like to help these animals, please either buy a blanket (or more if you like) and take it to the drop off locations for BVCR found in the 'notes' section of Brisbane Valley Cat Rescue's Facebook page. If you do not have a Kmart close by but still would like to help, a monetary contribution would also be very much appreciated. I am more than happy to buy these blankets for BVCR and deliver them to the shelter. Also any donations of your used blankets are very welcome as well. 21.01.2022 This is Paddy, one of my favourite drakes :D Paddy was so kind and produce quite a few offspring last breeding season. I am very happy with his and his tiny girlfriends progeny. The birds have grown up and some are for sale. Get in quick!

21.01.2022 We have currently Call Ducks in silver, dusky (apricot & blue), mallard colour, apricot silver, buff, blue fawn, double blue and chocolate available. There is usually only one bird of these colours available so if you wanted a certain colour, please be quick :D

19.01.2022 Ducklings appear capable of abstract thinking, like distinguishing patterns of shapes and colors from the time they are hatched.

08.01.2022 Miss Sophie, who was rescued from a feral colony #Feralcats is looking after some ducklings who needed to be hand reared in the house. Mother duck had chosen an unsafe nesting site where rodents had access, so the ducklings were removed and kept safe

07.01.2022 We have selected pairs of Call ducks available now. Call ducks are the smallest domestic duck breed with a huge personality. They bring any pond or garden to life. We have some very special birds in different colours available - different shades of blue, lavender, chocolates, silvers, duskies, buffs and blue fawns. As we have been breeding and showing for about 10 years our birds have reached a very good standard. Our birds for sale are between 6 and 12 months old and prices reach from $ 50 - $ 80.
