21.01.2022 Here's something you don't see everyday. This Fender jazz came into the workshop for some work. Its a Left handed Fender Jazz but is strung Right handed. The owner John wanted it setup and the problematic nut issue sorted. It got a full fret level, recrown and polish to enable us to get the action down as low as we can for John. The fretboard had quite a build up of "DNA"so was cleaned and the timber conditioned. The Input jack was replaced and pots checked, and is now as quiet as you like! The badass bridge saddles were cleaned and adjusted to complete the setup. The Bartolini pickups really thump and now sounds as good as ever. All ready for its next hit out this weekend. Hope you enjoy it John!!

21.01.2022 An emergency repair today for my good mate Troy's beloved Maton acoustic. Got him up and running and ready for his next gig. A quick clean and new strings and it was ready to rock. I love Maton guitars. They are a very well made world class instrument.

15.01.2022 Welcome to Callahan Guitar Repairs. In coming weeks I will feature some of the guitars I have been working on and explain some of the services that I offer. I am located in Jeeralang Junction in Gippsland and have been setting up and repairing guitars for several years. I am also a working musician and have been playing in bands around Melbourne and the Latrobe Valley since the early 80's so I understand what musicians want. So if your guitar or bass isn't performing quite t...he way it should, or you want to upgrade it, then give me a call and let's have a talk about it. Ph - 0428513331 See more

03.01.2022 When a friend referred Christine to me, she was afraid that her beloved Hawaiin made Concert Ukelele was beyond repair and destined for the rubbish bin. Luckily it was a relatively uncomplicated break and with some TLC and patience, I was able to salvage it. A new set of strings and it was as good as new. Christine was over the moon and so thankful her Ukelele was given a second life. Happy playing Christine!!
