25.01.2022 Mother and lamb for sale. This little fella was born on Tuesday but his new mum didn't know quite what to do at first. They've spent two days in a bonding pen with assisted feeds to get the ball rolling. Things are coming along but they would have a better chance together in a small grassy paddock (which can't be provided here). $55 Would also consider someone wanting an orphan to hand raise.

23.01.2022 You know the drought is bad when your new mums aren't interested in the lambs they've just given birth to. THESE TWO LITTLE FELLAS NEED A NEW HOME TO GO TO. They are not twins but luckily mum no.1 is tolerating an extra little cherub she didn't give birth to.

21.01.2022 This may just look like a sheep eating some hay but it is so much more than that. This is Stella and 2 weeks ago, I had to carry her into the house yard because she could no longer walk after a very tough 3 months of winter and drought despite all our hand feeding and extra supplements. I found a nice shady spot for her, gave her constant access to prime lucerne and water, daily tried to make her eat high protein supplements and check her frequently to keep the meat ants ...away from attacking her. She is the fourth sheep I have done this for but the other three all died in spite of my efforts. Little by little Stella has responded. A few days ago, she could get up on her back legs and shuffle around on her knees. Sophie and I then started 'physio' on her front legs as often as we could to help her get them straight again and able to bear her weight. This morning we found she had walked about 50 metres to the other side of the house and was helping herself to a bale of hay she could probably smell in the breeze! Good on you Stella! After almost losing count of the sheep/lambs we have lost in the last couple of months, and the stress of finding someone with a few spare bales of lucerne each time I drive to town to come home with, it is fantastic to have a win! 17.01.2022 SOLD pending pickup. Pet ewe and male lamb for sale. This is Danni. She was a twin who's brother was called Arnold. If you know the movie 'Twins' then you know there was a definite size difference. I spent nearly 3 hrs in the middle of the night helping Petal birth Arnold. Then, when we were heaving a huge sigh of relief that he was breathing and going to be ok ... out slipped Danni! That was six years ago. She has had some lovely lambs since then, but it is time to sen...d her somewhere with greener pastures - literally. She is very tame and healthy and her son is doing very well. $85 + gst

03.01.2022 Something a bit different ... Do you have room on your farm or your little patch of paradise for a new cat? Or two? My friend Anita (from Tannum Sands) has been desperately trying to rehome her rescue cats so she can finally move to Tasmania where her husband has already been for the last 3 months. She has such a heart for cats she wouldn't dream of leaving before they all find new homes. But it is taking its toll on her and a few more adoptions would make such a huge difference! We adopted 3 timid cats from Anita last year and they have settled in to farm life beautifully! I'll attach a photo when I find one. Please consider making room for one of her cats - she has such indepth descriptions of them all - or at least pass this post on to others who may be able to help.

02.01.2022 I've got three sheep I'm nursing back to health. (rather like Stella this time last year) This one has the farthest to go because she can't even get up on her back legs yet, but this morning, to my great surprise, she managed to have a lamb! Gracie, our sheep guardian, was straight on the job, chasing away the chooks and giving it a bit of a lick. What an awesome dog!
