25.01.2022 Great job to all that helped at the Moreton Bay Council Adventure Program 'Come and Try' Dragon Boating last Sunday. We had 24 enthusiastic people and we really enjoyed showing them a little insight of what our sport is like and we hope they all really enjoyed their time with us. Please have a browse at our photos from the day. Our next 'Come and Try' is on Saturday 12th December and there will be more next year. Check the Council's Website https://www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au//Sport-Re/Healthy-Active or Red Dragons Website or Facebook for future dates.

25.01.2022 Even with a small number in attendance and a howling wind to contend with, Deon from FIT CLUB, put the Redcliffe girls through their paces at the weekly Monday Group Fitness session. Great work as always ladies. Keep up the great work!

23.01.2022 Deon from FIT CLUB was back on board for the weekly group fitness session for the Redcliffe ladies. This time encorporating what one may call a memory test for us 'young uns' Exercise stations were decided dependant on individual's phone number, birth date, name and address as they corresponded to the letters and numbers appearing on a phone. 1, 2 ABC, 3 DEF, 4 GHI, 5 JKL, 6 MNO, 7 PQRS, 8 TUV, 9 WXYZ, 0... It was definitely a unique way for exercises to be determined and it exercised not only the body but the mind. As always Deon brought some fun into his fitness session. Everyone passed with flying colours. Great work everyone...yet again

22.01.2022 Hi everyone, I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for all your support yesterday. 1 race down.3 to go - KELLY MONDS Congratulations and well done Kelly Monds our club’s provisional sweep who completed the first of her 4 compulsory races to gain accreditation at yesterday’s BRD regatta at Kawana Waters. It was great to see her fellow Redcliffe paddlers cheering her on and wishing her the best from the shore as she backed up to the pontoon for the race start. Kelly looked like a natural and completed the manoeuvre effortlessly. Bring on future regattas.

21.01.2022 Today we celebrated the 2019-2020 season. For something different, Presentation afternoon tea held under a Covid safe plan #broadiestrong

19.01.2022 Due to the Baseball Tournament being held at Talobilla Park over this weekend and with the possible high volume of people who will be in the area given the current COVID environment, training this coming Saturday 5th September has been cancelled. Sorry for any inconvenience for new paddlers who were wanting to attend on Saturday. Never fear, Saturday training will be back to normal next week 12th September. Hope to see you there. Remember to register for any paddling session you would like to attend https://www.revolutionise.com.au/reddragons/events/

18.01.2022 What a good idea!

18.01.2022 With Deon from FIT CLUB unable to take today's Monday Group Fitness session, he was kind enough to set a target of 3-5 sets of 5 exercises (20 reps of each) with a walk/jog/run up the hill resting for 1 min after each set. The Redcliffe girls took on the session and smashed it managing to complete 5 sets of exercises resulting in 500 reps each. Fantastic effort and well done by everyone. Keep up the great work ladies

18.01.2022 The girls were giving it their all as always at Deon Bird's FIT CLUB weekly Group Fitness session. Keep up the great work ladies

18.01.2022 Back to TABATA style exercises for these ladies. Thanks as always to Deon from FIT CLUB for such variety.

17.01.2022 'Keeping the home fires burning'.... The Redcliffe girls, although low in numbers, were still keen to get out there and keep their bodies moving. Great work everyone. Admire your dedication (and determination) in keeping fit. Thanks as always to Deon from FITCLUB

17.01.2022 Great to be back on the water and seeing boats racing. Huge thanks to Dragon Boat Queensland / DBQ for organising, volunteers on the day and all clubs who participated. Everyone cooperated to make it a fun day had by all. Fingers crossed there will be more regattas in the not too distant future. Thanks to John Napper from Action in Focus Photography for these great shots. Professional as always. See you all out on the water soon

17.01.2022 Our next Come n Try is scheduled for Sunday 22nd November. If you missed out on the last one make sure you don't miss out this time. You will enjoy the experience of being out on the water while exercising, have fun at the same time and if you are lucky see some dolphins out on the Bay along with other wildlife whilst paddling The club's COVID Safety Plan will be complied with throughout the event and remember that if you are at all unwell please DO NOT ATTEND. To register your attendance, please click on the below link and type in DRAGON BOATING in Keyword search. Hope to see you there. https://www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au//Sport-Re/Healthy-Active

16.01.2022 What is the world coming to when flowers in a garden are not off limits to inconsiderate, unappreciative, irresponsible (need I go on) vandals. Not just once but TWICE in two weeks - the same thing. The garden has sentimental meaning to the members of Redcliffe Pink Snapdragons Breast Cancer Dragon Boat Club Inc. and Redcliffe Red Dragons as it is a memorial garden for our dearly beloved and departed Jayne Coe who founded the Pink Snapdragons. The girls had the garden lo...oking rather spectacular with beautiful coloured blooming snapdragons before the vandals hit. It is somewhat distressing for some to come to training and see the garden in such a state. If you live in the area and walk past our compound please keep an eye out for anything untoward and let the club know. It would be very much appreciated

15.01.2022 Weekly Monday Group Fitness sessions over the past 3 months and these Redcliffe girls are still enjoying the exercises whilst getting fitter, stronger and more agile. Left to our own devices, we were able to put together a session. Finishing off, with taking a leaf out of our regular Fitness instructor Deon's book from FIT CLUB and having a bit of fun with a different version of CONE GRAB we had done in an earlier session. Looking good ladies and keep up the great work.

15.01.2022 Our annual Plant Sale fundraising event is coming up on Saturday 28th November. It was very popular last year so mark it in your diaries & get in early to snap up a bargain!

14.01.2022 Wednesday Night Club training is back!!!!! 13.01.2022 The club members were very keen to get back out on the water. Different and exciting 2km and 1km races. Congratulations to our 6 new members who had their first taste of regatta racing. Lots of fun was had by everyone. Keep up the great work and look forward to doing it all again in the not too distant future.

10.01.2022 The saying goes ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END. As time as gone by and the start of a sense of normality being experienced, this is the case in regards to the Group Fitness sessions which commenced at beginning of July this year and were being hosted at the compound every Monday, by Deon Bird from FITCLUB. HUGE THANKS to Deon in taking time out of his schedule to come down to the compound and host these sessions. Even though working hard and at their own pace, all t...he participants thoroughly enjoyed the sessions due to the variety of ways they were delivered by Deon eg boxing, use of battle ropes, Tabata, Roll of the Dice. etc as well as adding a bit of fun (CONE SNATCH) along the way. THANKS to Charlene, our coach, for organising with Deon to come along and deliver these sessions to the willing members of the club. No doubt everyone benefited from attending and their flexibility and strength certainly improved. Members wishing to continue to make improvements by attending similar sessions with Deon, are more than welcome to attend any of his three sessions held on Tuesday’s Thursday’s and Friday’s. For more details visit www.fitclubfix.com.au KEEP FIT AND BE STRONG

05.01.2022 Redcliffe ladies in action. YOU ROCK!!!

03.01.2022 Yesterday's club Council Come n Try was a huge success with 19 newbies coming for a paddle with the club. Unfortunately the weather Gods were not kind to us so we were unable to take the boats out onto the Bay. We had to make do with paddling up and down the many canals. Everyone enjoyed themselves and there were some interested in attending some club training sessions and hopefully joining the club. Great effort and well done to all club members who volunteered their times to help out on the day and ensured the morning ran smoothly. Hope to see a huge turn out of newbies and club volunteers again at the next Council Come n Try. Stayed tuned for further information re date or visit Moreton Bay Council Healthy and Active website https://www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au//Sport-Re/Healthy-Active Hope to see you then
