24.01.2022 Blaike Perkins played in the Bargara Junior Open on Sunday 17th April. After a bit of a shaky front nine, he came back with even par on the back nine, finishing Overall Gross Runner Up, 4 shots behind the winner. Great effort Blaike!

24.01.2022 Charlize Murphy played in the Blackwater Junior Open on the 16th April. Charlize was the Nett Runner Up in the 9 Hole Girls Competition with a Nett Score of 66, 4 behind the winner on 62. Well Done Charlize!!!

23.01.2022 Well Done to all our juniors playing in the Calliope Junior Open. Thank you so much to all our helpers on the day. We are a small club so everyone pitching in was wonderful. Congratulations to Blaike Perkins for Nett Runner Up in A Grade and Ryan Kettle for Nett Runner Up in B Grade. Also a big congratulations to the Overall Champion Female: Morgan Lewis (Gladstone) and Overall Champion Male: Ben Swaffield (Yeppoon). 20.01.2022 Great news for one of our CQ juniors with Calliope's Blaike Perkins being selected in the Queensland 15 & Under Golf Team of four boys and four girls to attend ...the National 15 Years & Under School Golf Championships in Sydney from the 14th to 17th November. He was selected by Junior Golf Queensland to play in the event at East Lakes Golf Club. The team will play a mixed state four person ambrose on the Monday, an individual stroke and team event on the Tuesday, an excursion to the Australian Open Pro-Am on the Wednesday and the individual stroke and teams event second round on the Thursday. 13.01.2022 Blaike Perkins competed in the Bundaberg Junior Open in the 18 Hole Division, on Sunday 28th February. He played some great golf and won the Overall Gross Champion with a great score of Gross 73. Well done Blaike! Thank you to all the organisers and helpers at the Bundaberg Golf Club for a great event and the course was in wonderful condition.

12.01.2022 We had some great results from our Calliope Juniors at the Miriam Vale Junior Open and Gladstone Junior Open over the weekend of the 6/7th August. Miriam Vale: A Grade Gross Runner Up - Ryan Stitt (Gross 76), A Grade Nett Winner - Blaike Perkins (Gross 77/Nett 72), B Grade Nett Runner Up - Ryan Kettle & 9 Hole Girls Nett Winner - Charlize Murphy after losing for 9 Hole Girls Gross in a play off. Gladstone: B Grade Gross Winner - Ryan Kettle (Gross 85) and 9 Hole Gross Gir...l - Charlize Murphy (Gross 58). Excellent effort juniors, you should be proud.

11.01.2022 Blaike Perkins played in the 2016 Sunshine Coast/South Burnett Zone Mens Open & Closed District Championships at Noosa Springs Golf Course on Sunday 30th October from the Black (Back) tees and finished with a great score of Gross 75 (2nd highest score for the day even with an unfortunate double bogey on Hole 18) winning the Division 1 Nett Winner (Nett 69/Gross 75). He was beaten on the day by Sunshine Coast Junior Christian Butterworth (Noosa) and ex professional Mat Walke...nhorst (Headland) who both had Gross 73 and went into a Playoff. With a field of 175 great male golfers from 34 clubs, Blaikes performance was exceptional and he played with a great maturity, also beating his Dad by 1 shot who had a Gross 76. Blaike would like to thank his playing partners Brian Adams & Phil Vine from Virginia Golf Club and his Dad Scott for an enjoyable day, and also a big thank you to the Sunshine Coast and South District Golf Association for a great event. The experience was exceptional for a 13 year old. It is great to see our juniors participating and performing well at tournaments outside of our area. Congratulations Blaike

11.01.2022 Ryan Kettle played in the Australian Aged Division Golf Championships at the Capricorn Resort in the second week of the school holidays. Ryan played in the 15-16 years age division with Gross scores 93, 87, 88, and enjoyed the event immensely. Well Done Ryan.

07.01.2022 Blaike Perkins finished 4th in his age group at the Jack Newton Srixon International Junior Golf Tournament at Stonebridge Golf Course, Cessnock after 4 days of some wonderful golf in very windy conditions. Unfortunately a couple of unlucky holes cost him a 2nd or 3rd position but it was great experience and a great tournament. Jack Newton shook hands and gave a couple of words of encouragement and watched a couple of holes which was great for the kids. Well Done Blaike.
