To help, we are holding a fundraiser this Sunday at the pub, with heaps of happenings throughout the day, to raise money for the family in this very difficult time. 18.01.2022 So there’s been some late changes but we still want to help you bring in the New Year with a bang tonight at the Cally! Masks are mandatory, again, so if you’re planning to come to the pub tonight, please bring your mask. If you don’t have one, we are sorry, but you cannot come in. The mask rules are, when inside the premises, it must be worn unless you are drinking or eating.... We don’t like it, but rules are rules, and we have been told by local police that it will he acted on if not followed. Toss the boss is still going ahead, but if you don’t have a booking, we won’t fit you in. Our numbers are limited, and we wish we could take everyone in at once, but sadly, we need to be patient and wait for this pandemic to pass. We are not doing takeaway meals tonight. This is to adhere with the numbers we are allowed in the hotel. The can bar will be opened early tonight, and those in the beer garden will be strongly encouraged to use this as there will be no cross over from bar to beer garden unless using the toilet. We will be policing this strongly. A 1.30am lock out will be put in place also tonight, and the bar will be closed at 2.30am. We have entertainment from 8pm and again, we just want everyone to have a bloody good time! Thanks everyone for all your support this year, it’s been a roller coaster and we are so very grateful as we SLOWLY come out of this time. Their beautiful four-year-old daughter Baylee has been diagnosed with an inoperable tumour. We are already in planning for an event in the coming weeks, in honour of their plight, with 100% of the money made from the bar, plus donations, going directly to the Francis family.... 05.01.2022 With full but still heavy hearts, we have counted all the money raised from Sunday’s fundraiser for Malcolm Francis and Shona Evans family following the devastating and sudden passing of their little girl, Baylee last month. Amazingly, a mammoth $10,784.85 was raised on the day, money that has already gone directly to the family, to help them moving forward. No amount of money can remove the pain being felt here, but Malcolm wanted to thank every single person showing emotion...al or financial support over these past few weeks, he was simply blown away when learning of the amount of money raised. The tins put out on the day, just over $3000 was taken out of those tins alone, a lot contributed when family members and friends (pictured) of little Baylee had their hair cut for the cause. Thanks to Tim Cogger and Kate Pickford for giving their time to shave and chop! The staff gave up their tips for the cause and thanks to Jason Mulley and Jalen Walsh for joining myself and contributing their time too. And to the hotel owners, who don’t need to be named, they contributed all monies made during the fundraiser, proving you’re all angels and your generosity for one of our own is amazing. 04.01.2022 We have received an email stating that no live music is allowed in pubs.. sorry, but what a crock of shit! We are trying our hardest to bring people something while all this is going on with Covid-19, and having a musician in the corner, playing a gig after being disallowed to perform for so long, how is this making the venue unsafe?? We will adhere to this, we have to, as no doubt a ridiculous fine will be dished out in a time when every dollar counts.... Just so you all know, until now it has been okay... why they’ve pulled the trigger on this call now is really beyond us. So, outside of that, we have everything happening as planned, it’s just going to be background music so we will have a free juke box across the whole weekend. Thanks to everyone that’s booked for the coming days, we hope this doesn’t lessen your experience. To the musicians booked, we are sorry for the incompetence of our government. No cases in Hamilton since March, really got to love the way they’re handling this... not.

02.01.2022 WE ARE NOW BOOKED OUT FOR GRAND FINAL NIGHT! There’s zero spots left in the beer garden for Saturday night’s AFL grand final. There’s a very good chance those booked in for the game will kick on also, with Matt Price performing in the beer garden from 10.30pm.... So if you plan to come to the pub for a drink, I suggest you book now because we won’t be taking any bookings for later in the evening. We’ll also be setting up a ‘CAN BAR’ in the old drive through bottle shop, so you won’t have far to go for your drinks! It’s bloody good to be getting closer to some sort of normality, but we expect patrons to still respect the mask rules and social distancing procedures put in place.
