09.01.2022 Australia Day acknowledgement - Grace Brennan, initiator of Buy from the Bush, gave the Australia Day address last week at The Conservatorium of Music, Sydney. . (Yes this is a week overdue, but I have been busy packing up a few decades of my life in Dubbo). . Seeing its Australia Day I figured I needed to give Grace a blast. We are very proud of Grace - she married my nephew Jack, moved from Sydney and settled into life at Warren, central west NSW, about 10 years ago. ... . With ease and grace (pun intended), Grace settled into bush life. . Now 3 kids later, amidst dust & drought, Grace has lifted spirits with her simple, social media initiative Buy from the Bush. It brings tears to my eyes reading the reports of people in the cities of Australia and worldwide supporting small bush businesses. . When I received the random email inviting me to the Australia Day address, I thought - Wow. This is special. Buggar the boxes and packing. Jumped on a plane and flew to Sydney for the day. 06.01.2022 GRATITUDE ~ This morning I watched my favourite Dru teacher, Lolita on Instagram, druworldwide. She talked about the secret power that lies in little things.... ~ One of her tips was to have a string & some beads of some descriptionmaybe buttons? Each time someone does something nice for you - or you do something nice for someone else, you put a bead on the string. At the end of the day, put your necklace on. & soak in the gratitude for the day. ~ Today, I phoned Almar Organics in Albury to order some basic food goodies we cant get in Beechworth. I spoke to a gorgeous woman (Bernadette). She was so cheery & helpful. Im nearly out of my Immune Booster tablets & asked her if they supplied that as well? Nope. But she gave me the name of a Naturopath in Wodonga who keeps this stuff & highly recommended her as a practitioner. Bonus!!! ~ To top it off.the Naturopath is happy to do a Zoom speed consult with me (as she hasnt seen me before & to keep the social distancing stuff in line) and send the tablets in the mail. Wow!!! ~ Andyes theres more.and its only 1pm. I ordered a book from Beechworth Books & its in. I decided it was an unessential thing to go and collect. I have a pretty decent pile of books to plough through.and the more we STAY HOME the quicker this bloody virus petters out. ~ I rang Beechworth Books, willing to pay for the book and pick it up whenever the world gets back to normal. Dianne however has offered to drop it into our mailbox latter today!!! 02.01.2022 Here is a guided meditation to help us individually and every soul in the world. Andrew Wells (my Dru Meditation teacher from long ago) leads the session. It's only about 15 minutes long. Before I sat to do this for the first time, I felt tight and anxious. My hips were stiff and aching. After the meditation I felt warm and relaxed, even smiling. I've made a deal with myself to do it daily at 7am, every day. Join me - let's help ourselves, and help each other.

01.01.2022 Beechworth - we made it! This is 2 weeks plus overdue, but weve been very busy unpacking, and unpacking, and unpacking. The 4 fish survived the 7 hour trip from Dubbo & Deva meowed for 2 hours before she decided car travel was satisfactory .... Our house is on the edge of Beechworth with paddock views & a dam next door - the home of masses of frogs!!! Yes frogs ! After night fall they clear their throats & get croaking for the night. Puts a smile on my dial just thinking about it. Such a delight . It feels like heaven. The quiet is divine. Beautiful walks around town, around the lake (found my perfect yoga spot), masses of glorious trees & loads of interesting places nearby to explore.
