22.01.2022 Happy International Coffee Day!!

21.01.2022 Hi everyone, we have good news and bad news. The Bad News is that we are unable to live-streamonday Mass tomorrow (Monday 16th). Fr Peter is on holidays, Fr Lam is going to Brisbane to see his family and Fr Josh is getting away overnight for his day off. Fr Joseph will be celebrating Mass in person, however. Unfortunately, our iPad, which we use for streaming is malfunctioning. We'll still endeavour, to stream Tuesday and Thursday Masses this week via mobile phone.... The Good News is that by Friday this week, we hope to have our new permanent camera up and running. The NBN line has been installed in the church and we're just waiting for our contractors to install a modem and the Ethernet + USB lines in the correct place. Thank you for your continued patience. Pax Vobiscum.

13.01.2022 What are your thoughts on the following statement? "If you want the Church to grow, stop trying to attract people. Start trying to engage people."

12.01.2022 Tomorrow, Sunday, is the 4th World Day of the Poor. Pope Francis reminds us that the poor are our responsibility. Take a moment to read the Pope's brief message via the link below. Peace and blessings! http://www.vatican.va//papa-francesco_20200613_messaggio-i

12.01.2022 Today's Responsorial Psalm is a cracker. Here's the response and last stanza (Ps 91:11) (And a hyperlapse of God's glory!) (R) The Lord has put angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ... Upon you no evil shall fall, no plague approach where you dwell. For you has he commanded his angels, to keep you in all your ways.

11.01.2022 Please be patient with the audio-visual challenges we're experiencing everyone. We are certainly aware of the problems and even though you can't see on the camera, we're doing our best to rectify the problems. Unfortunately, it's not as simple as flicking a switch.

08.01.2022 Today we celebrate Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus (1873 - 1897) Marie-Françoise-Thérèse Martin was born in Alençon, in France, on 2 January 1873. Her mother, who already had breast cancer, died when Thérèse was four, and the family moved to Lisieux. Thérèse became a nun at the Carmelite convent there at the age of 15, after a long battle against the superior, who insisted that 16, or even 21, would be a more sensible age. She died of tuberculosis at the age of 24,...Continue reading

07.01.2022 Apologies everyone, we've got absolutely no idea why there was no sound with the live stream this morning. We will endeavour to get it fixed. There have been a few minor problems with the system since our new camera was installed several weeks ago.

05.01.2022 Today we celebrate the Holy Guardian Angels Love this day!! The doctrine that every individual soul has a guardian angel has never been defined by the Church and so is not an article of faith, but is the mind of the Church, as expressed particularly by St Jerome and St Basil. it is present in both the Old and New Testaments. As Jesus says, See that you never despise any of these little ones, for I tell you that their angels in heaven always gaze on the face of my F...ather in heaven. Thus even little children have guardian angels, and these angels remain in the presence of God even as they fulfil their mission on earth. Anciently, all angels were celebrated together on the feast of St Michael. A separate feast of the Guardian Angels began in Valencia in 1411. At the reform of the Breviary in the 16th century it was included among the local feasts, and it was raised to the status of a feast in the General Calendar in 1608, placed on the first free day after the feast of Saints Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. One of the benefits of this feast is that it reminds us that God cares for us each, individually. We all know this in theory, but it is easy in times of depression or temptation to convince ourselves that we are too small to matter, for good or ill. Let us use this feast to remind ourselves that each of us has an angel of our very own looking after us; and also to pray to God for our own Guardian Angel. What a bore and a burden to them some of us are. May we one day be a cause of rejoicing for them also. See more

01.01.2022 Several people have asked for a transcript of Fr Josh's Sunday Homily given the audio challenges we experienced last Sunday; here it follows: "I’ve been on a priest retreat for the past week at the Santa Teresa Spirituality Centre down in Ormiston. It was a wonderful but necessary time with plenty of prayer and contemplation and while most of the other guys used the time to wind down a little, I had a strange experience; I couldn’t wind down. Over the past few months, I’ve ...Continue reading
