18.01.2022 Theatre turns to art When is a theatre not a theatre? When it’s an art gallery. The Caloundra Chorale and Theatre Company is preparing to open its doors for an... art show, instigated by Maria Lindsay. The intimacy of the theatre meant that all concerts and plays for 2020 had to be cancelled to comply with COVID restrictions, so the exhibition will showcase the talent within the theatre company those involved behind the scenes with sets, painting and design. Friends and family of theatre company members will also be included. The exhibition will feature paintings, sculptures, and photography. Many of the pieces will be available for sale. A gala opening will be held from 6.30pm on Friday, January 22. Tickets are $10, which includes wine, cheese and entertainment. Bookings are essential. The exhibition continues from 10am-3pm on January 23-24. No bookings are necessary. Entry by gold coin donation. Caloundra Chorale and Theatre Company

10.01.2022 Look! New audience chairs! A big thanks to the Sunshine Coast Regional Council for supporting us with a grant for our new audience chairs. They are here are we are installing soon! Happy 50th anniversary to all the Caloundra Chorale and Theatre patrons! Another reason to come to our next show when is it? Stay tuned.

09.01.2022 Here's a bit of fun for the CCTC's 50th year. Post a photo of what you were doing in 1970. To kick things off, here's a couple of photos of Helen & Colin, first day at High School, Rockhampton 1970. Apologies to those of you born post 1970 (there shouldn't be too many)

08.01.2022 This is a close to 1970 as I can get. One is my graduation photo from high school in 1971. The other is with my cousin in the summer of 1971 while we were camping with family.

06.01.2022 We are very excited to announce we are back with our Easter Concert. One show only 2pm Saturday the 27th of March at Venue 114. We are looking forward to seeing you all again!

05.01.2022 Thank you to all who attended Art Centre Stage, we had a fantastic turn out with over 300 visitors through the exhibition across the weekend. Congratulations to all of the artists who entered, we had wonderful feedback from those who visited about the quality and variety of works on display. Congratulations to the winner of People’s Choice Murray Staff whose work The King received the most individual votes.... Second place was a tie between Barry Green’s Rounding up Stragglers and Ran Scott’s Of the Sea No.3 The Artist receiving the most People’s Choice ballots overall was Ran Scott. Runner Up was Barry Green and coming in third overall was Barb Moles. Well done to all.

02.01.2022 We are excited! Our choir got together today in our carpark for their first rehearsal in person for 6 months!!! They had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The sound is not the best due to my camera. But the enthusiasm was electric!
