24.01.2022 Work has been completed on the redesigned fairway bunker on the 7th hole. We have gone from 1 large deep bunker to 4 smaller shallower bunkers. Making these slight changes keeps our players on their toes!!

24.01.2022 Some photos of the course this morning, you can see here why we are closed Sunday and Monday, (photos credit M Elkes), big clean up day tomorrow!

22.01.2022 AT CALOUNDRA GOLF CLUB*** As a mandatory directive from the QLD Government we can no longer offer paper-based signing in. The only exception to this rule is any member who is registered in a competition or registered for social play. ... Please be ready with a digital device when visiting the club to scan our QR codes upon entry. If you do not have a digital device we ask that another member of your group can add you to their sign-in as one of their dependents. This is to ensure you can be contacted in the unfortunate event of an outbreak. We thank you for your co-operation.

22.01.2022 WHAT DOES THE BRISBANE MASK MANDATE MEAN FOR THE COAST? Residents from the Greater Brisbane region have been told they must wear masks when visiting crowded ...indoor spaces until next Friday, but what do the current restrictions mean for coast residents? Currently anyone who is from or visits the Greater Brisbane area must wear masks when going into indoor venues like shopping centres and supermarkets, gyms, workplaces (if you cannot socially distance), places of worship, libraries, public transport and ride sharing vehicles. Masks are not required when exercising outdoors, cars when alone or with family or workplaces where social distancing can be upheld. But what other rules apply for Sunshine Coast residents? If you have travelled to Brisbane since 7am January 2, you are required to wear a mask in public indoor places until next Friday January 22. If you have visited Brisbane since January 2, you must carry a face mask with you at all times. If you commute between the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane you don't need to wear a mask while in your vehicle, but if you travel via public transport you do. Queensland Health recommends anyone who has visited Brisbane since Saturday also wear a face mask outdoors, if a 1.5 metre distance from others can't be maintained. Children under 12 or anyone suffering a medical condition or disability are not required to wear a mask. All residents are asked to continue practising social distancing at 1.5 metres, wash their hands and use hand sanitiser. Residents are asked to provide accurate contact details when visiting places and ensure they sign in, so they can be contacted if needed for contract tracing. Stay at home if you are sick and get tested if you have any Covid-19 symptoms. Single-use surgical masks are recommended and can be bought at pharmacies, otherwise paper and cloth masks are acceptable if residents can't get hold of a surgical mask. Ride share drivers may be travelling to the Sunshine Coast from Brisbane to work and are required to wear masks if doing so. Sunshine Coast Council said it is continuing to regularly service public facilities and asks the community to practise good hygiene when using facilities, including barbecues. MALENY CLINIC AND CASE On Saturday Queensland Health issued a public health alert after a woman returning to Queensland from Victoria, and previously the UK, tested positive for Covid-19, and then travelled to the Sunshine Coast. Travellers on the woman's flight, as well as anyone who visited the Maleny Woolworths, Purple Palate Cellers and Capriccio's Italian Restaurant on January 6 or 7 were asked to get tested. A Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service spokesperson said close contacts have been tested and are being managed according to national guidelines. The Maleny pop-up clinic has now closed and almost 500 residents were tested across the four days it was open. The SCUH spokesperson said there has been "no further cases for the Maleny region". FEELING SICK? If you have any of the following COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, call your doctor or 13HEALTH (13 43 25 84) and get tested: fever cough sore throat shortness of breath runny nose fatigue loss of smell and/or taste. Call emergency services on Triple Zero (000) if you are very sick. Here are the COVID-19 Fever Clinics nearby: Caloundra Health Service Nambour General Hospital P2 car park, Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital Gympie Hospital Visit Queensland Health's website for the full list of testing centres near you and for further information.

17.01.2022 Its amazing what a difference a bit of water can make. You can see here in these two photos, the first photo is the greens after 2nd top dress, rub in and AFTER water and the second photo is BEFORE water (which will happen tonight).

16.01.2022 An interesting read from Sunshine Coast News including some snaps of the Golf Course. It was such a wild storm!!

16.01.2022 2 weeks on from renovations and we are looking pretty good! On Monday we did a light top dress on some of the weaker areas on the greens. They are coming back well after 2 weeks of growth regulator and mowing height set to 4mm with a double cutting we will get down to 3.5mm by tomorrow. A light dusting will take place next Monday and Tuesday with a bit more fertiliser (weather permitting). Overall we are extremely happy with our renovations and the minimal impact it had on our golfers.

09.01.2022 COURSE CLOSED - Due to a severe storm cell passing through Caloundra on Saturday 16th Jan our course will be closed both Sunday the 17th and Monday the 18th of January. We will reopen on Tuesday the 19th when fallen trees and debris have been cleared. We will post updates on both Facebook and our website.

08.01.2022 Welcome 2021! We would like to start our year with a massive thank you to all of our volunteers, especially through these busy summer months. Our golf course wouldn't be as beautiful as it is if we didn't have all of you! THANK YOU!!!!

08.01.2022 We think our course is as pretty as a picture

06.01.2022 What a difference one week can make!! Our greens are already looking fantastic, they will receive another light dusting over today and tomorrow to finish the renovation process completely.

03.01.2022 Its that time of year again! Renovations are being completed today. Some interesting photos here. We start by grooming the greens, which is followed by coring, top dressing, rubbing in and fertilising and then finished off by watering. Its a massive job undertaken by our fantastic course staff, they all take such pride in their work, and it shows. We are lucky to have such an amazing crew. I will be taking some photos one week on and then at the 2 week mark to see how the renovations look.
