20.01.2022 SNR GF DAY - INFORMATION PARKING Additional parking will be available on the grass near the old clubhouse. Entry will be via the gate off Ballinger Road n...ear the old clubhouse. Gates will be locked Saturday night and opened again Sunday morning (before 10am) for those wanting to leave their cars inside. Please do not park in the cricket car park CANTEEN and BAR Be patient with bar and canteen staff as we are restricted due to Covid requirements and we are expecting it to be busier than usual due to restrictions on social gatherings at private residences and therefore more members staying around, which will be great. Clubhouse max is 30 people at any one time so please minimise congregating inside. The liquor licence now extends to the entire grounds inside the turf fenced area so please spread out. TOILETS and SHOWERS Portaloos will be in the car park near the entry gate and at the scoreboard end Reminder that showers are not able to be used BINS An extra 5 Can Recycling bins have been arranged and will be placed around the grounds. Please use them as intended as it is poor volunteers that have to empty them in order to recycle the cans/bottles. BYO We will have very little tolerance for this and ask that you assist us by ensuring if you see any of your members or those with your members with BYO that you ask them to put it back in their cars.

17.01.2022 Second Hand Turf Sale Work has begun and they are not holding back. Rolls of turf available for purchase.... Funds must be deposited to SCHA account to secure your roll or rolls. (NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED) Rolls will be allocated based on first in first served when funds are received in the SCHA account. We anticipate approximately 100 rolls will be available. COST: $100 per roll. 15.01.2022 Junior Qualifying Finals Congratulations to all of our junior players for all of your efforts throughout the season. While we lost some teams post Covid, ...it was great to see so many juniors opting to play across clubs and/or grades to either help make combined teams or to simply fill in to allow some teams to take the field each week with a full team. 11.01.2022 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK SM - EWAN SCHASCHKE - He turns up every week, on time, ready to play, listen and learn from his senior teammates. He always communicates his availability well in advance. Commits to both Div 1 & 2 training and games wholeheartedly. He is always eager to learn more and improve his game! SW - KIM KIERNAN - She has been challenged by new positions this season but has found her confidence again and has been playing some great attacking hockey up the ...side as well as defensively in the press and as half back. She constantly positions herself to be receiving the ball in space to help the whole play of her team. JB - MASON WALSH - Played his best game of the season. He is everyone on the field and played with high intensity JG - LOTTIE - One of our youngest players, she has been channeling her inner Snow Leopard, she has gone from meak and mild to wild and fearsome. Has been challenged by new positions other than her usual wing and has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in tackles. Her inner Leopard doesnt give up on the ball and fights hard to keep possession.
11.01.2022 ***UPDATE ON TURF PICK UP** After consultation with the site foreman no more pick ups can take place until after site work is completed each day, that being aft...er 3:30pm -5pm on week days. Please ensure you bring tiedowns/straps and ute/trailer to transport the rolls. Also important to note that you will need to lift and load your purchased rolls and they are quite heavy, ensure you bring someone with you to assist in lifting rolls onto the ute/trailer. 08.01.2022 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK SM - STEVE CLARIDGE - He was assigned a single role to tag and annoy, We knew they would get put off their game by close attention. He did this really well to the point that his opponent got riled many times during the match and actually told Steve to ...... off and stop annoying him . SW - LEIGH WHITE - Leading the team to an amazing win last weekend by popping 2 in the box. The whole team played the games of their lives and this was highly e...vident through skilled, confident and competent players such as Leigh! WELL DONE TO ALL D1W! JB - SAM SCHEFE - He played very well last weekend where he had a specific job which he carried out very strongly as well as tackling back when the ball was lost. JG - IVY DAVIS - She is starting to come out of her shell as well as showing good understanding of the game in technical aspects when asked questions as well as positional plays and understanding her role in her position in the field. Can put her anywhere in the field and will have a go. Such a lovely energy to have in our team with an inner spunk just waiting to be released!

04.01.2022 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK SM - SCOTT WARDLE - turned up to training every week and the fitness at Meridan, he put in a full effort in defence, without substitution, helping get a tight and exciting win. SW - JAN SAVAGE - A solid player in the team. She is a great all rounder and had an awesome game. She is well involved in supporting our club with Hook in2 Hockey and coaching, always there to support our teams.... JB - OLI PITCHER - New to the game this season, Oli played a solid game in a defensive role, he is showing good progression and we are excited to see what he has to offer in the future. JG - ISLA LONSDALE - she is a bottle of enthuiasm and potential. She displays the perfect combination for growth and longevity in the sport, listens to feedback, takes it on board and implements.

02.01.2022 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK SM - PETER RIES - As well as being a great clubman Pete is playing really well, definitely stands his ground on the field, while being a really positive encouraging influence on his teammates. SW - SARAH BRADBURY - Any keeper who saves a stroke takes the cake! Outstanding goalkeeping. Sarah made a huge number of difficult saves including a penalty stroke. Even the Rebels coach commended her on her outstanding performance, great work Sarah!!... JB - KAI BAKES - He had a big game this week. He never stops trying and doesn't know how to give up. Always gives 100%. JG - CHLOE NORTON - She is really stepping up her game these past 2 weeks. Putting in the extra miles in the legs, making seriously awesome crunch tackles, is a very supportive teammate and is showing some maturity in her game. All this hard work is paying off when she step up to play div 1 as well. Very impressive!

01.01.2022 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK SM - PETER NORTON - As a beginning keeper he has picked up the game really quickly and made many great saves on the weekend for our 9-man side against a full-strength opposition. SW - SAXBY LAZARIDES - Her confidence in the circle is really starting to strengthen and is showing with her going out and attacking the ball outside the box. She is talking more from the back and had many 1 on 1s with the opposition and is a major factor in keeping our... score against us low. JB - HAYDEN COLE - He played with a lot of courage and determination while riding to the challenge every week for the older boys game. JG - MAYA PADDISON - Her first year playing hockey and is showing great passion and dedication to the sport. She did not stop attacking the ball and was a pivotal in defence. She is showing maturity in her decisions with the ball and looking for team mates and opportunities to move the ball forward.
