22.01.2022 Year 6 had so much fun in the sand, sun and surf today at their first beach session with four rotations of activities - grateful for the wonderful place we live - amazing opportunities- so thankful for the patient staff on World Teachers Day 2020.

Our Year 2 students used their artistic talents to create Andy Warhol inspired Pop Art, movement sculptures, still-life drawings and Aboriginal art inspired representations of The Meeting Place.

21.01.2022 Earlier this week Noah attended the Telling Stories Awards ceremony organised by Mooloolaba Rotary, Voices on the Coast and USC. Noah placed first in year 6! He was awarded with a medal and cash prize for his story ‘I should have been more careful’. He met author Gary Crew and heard from other inspirational authors and lecturers from the University.
21.01.2022 Congratulations to our Year 4 Visual Art Competition finalists: Ashton, Ella D, Kaylee, Lilly P, Ruby M and Tia. Our Year 4 students used their artistic talents to create a folio of work focused on the use of positive and negative space, inspired by Aboriginal and Japanese art works.

20.01.2022 North Coast Aboriginal Corporation for Community Health visited our school today. With the focus on healthy lifestyles our year 5 & 6 students enjoyed a fun treasure hunt with interesting activities and at each check point. The students had a cross word puzzle they had to finish with the answers being uncovered at each station. Most loved the challenge, teamwork was the key.

16.01.2022 Let the show begin! Our Cultural Captains Alana and Noah did an amazing job hosting the 2020 Dance Extravaganza. Excitement was in the air as P-2 swept us off on a magical adventure through the imagination of Alice and Wonderland.

15.01.2022 In week 6 our students have participated in Rugby League Gala days at Maroochydore. A big thanks goes to the parents for their support and to the children who have trained hard for this day. Everyone had heaps of fun, scored some tries and made many tackles. The games were played in a positive environment and all players represented our school in a fantastic way.

14.01.2022 Week 10 Awards + colouring in competition winners and another super star who has completed 25km at Cal running club.
14.01.2022 As part of their Media Arts unit, Year 4 students have been busy working collaboratively to plan, design and produce an electronic magazine cover suitable for a target audience. Using the green screen is definitely a highlight of this task.
14.01.2022 Year two have been studying information reports in English and life cylcles and living things in Science so a trip to the ZOO was the perfect excursion. Wow what a day ! Wildlife HQ Zoo sure did impress. So many wonderful encounters to experience! Touching a snake, patting a dingo, gushing over both a baby Quokka and baby sugar glider and seeing many animals up close and personal. The students had an amazing day, learning through experiences.

13.01.2022 Congratulations to our Year 5 Visual Art Competition finalists: Bailee, Delaney, Hamish, Oscar, Vienna and Zoe. Our Year 5 students used their artistic talents to create clay face pots and cubist self-portraits and line animals inspired by the work of Picasso.

12.01.2022 Singing/ swimming in the rain was exactly what the students in P-5 achieved today. Resilience in practice. Amazing effort and behaviour from all the students who attended swimming lessons today. Well done.
11.01.2022 From the 9th to the 11th of October, Andrew Kwintowski and his mate Tom ran 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours, to raise money for Metropolitan Caloundra nippers. To help support them, some students from our school joined in on the run to to keep Andrew and Tom's energy levels up. In the end they raised over $3000 dollars for the club! Thanks, and well done everyone!

08.01.2022 The first week of swimming for years P-5 was a huge success. The students have quickly learnt the routine of getting changed and are transitioning to and from school with little fuss. Behaviour at the pool has been fantastic which allows for great learning and lots of fun.

06.01.2022 Caloundra State School certainly loves their footy and today we competed in the Billy Moore Cup against local schools in our region. There was some super chargers,skilful passers and great sets of play. The students from year 5 & 6 did us proud with terrific teamwork, behaviour and many tries. Congratulations to all involved.

05.01.2022 Congratulations to the ten Year Six students who completed a five chapter book in one day on Wednesday. This book was submitted at 8:30pm that night and will now be judged against other primary school books in the Write a Book in a Day competition. Funds raised through the Write a Book in a Day competition go toward childhood cancer research to find better treatments and ultimately a cure. Our incredible team has almost raised $1000. Your dedication and countless hours preparing the show doesnt go unnoticed! You are all amazing. Our costumes were spectacular, all the students and staff appreciate your efforts and the wonderful opportunity that dance gives us. 02.01.2022 Today, 30 self nominated year 6 students competed in a combined athletic event which consisted of long jump, shot putt, 100m, 800m. It was an afternoon of great sportsmanship and fun.
