25.01.2022 Maui came in to have his heartworm injection with Dr. Marta. What a photogenic boy! Heartworm is caused by a parasitic worm called Dirofilaria Immitis, which is spread through the bite of a mosquito. It is important to ensure your pet is on heartworm prevention as it can cause severe lung disease, heart failure and other organ damage. ... There are several preventative options available now. Give us a call and one of our nurses can give you some free advice over the phone.

15.01.2022 Note to self......When trying to get dogs to pose for a photo, don’t put down a too good to resist Orivet Chew!

15.01.2022 A reunion!! Cassie was found by a lovely man that had been feeding her for two weeks. He decided to get her looked at by a vet, so when we scanned Cassie for a microchip, we found she belonged to one of our clients and had been missing for 15 months! The owners also own Cassies brother Char and they’d had given up hope of her coming home. It was a very happy reunion with the family! ... Microchips do work!! If your pet isn’t microchipped, come down to the practice and get one implanted. It only takes a minute or two!
