25.01.2022 Happy days! The progress at our new Depot in St Helens is going really well! The foundations for the concrete floor are now complete. Renovations to the offices and toilets are also underway. The collaboration between hardworking staff and community members has been fantastic, especially during a Pandemic! We at Calows Coaches would like to thank everyone that is assisting us, setting up our new Depot

25.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - Please note that the Tasmanian Government has announced that the amnesty on bus fares will now continue until the end of May 2020. Please ensure that your travel is essential and to practice safe social distancing when travelling.

23.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS - we have now updated our online booking system to allow online payment and printing of tickets. (Cash payment is still available via this system). Many thanks to Alexandra Bywater and Jane Nichols for all the work they did in getting this system up and running :) Please note however for Hobart bookings (to and from) you will still need to telephone our office (during business hours - 8.30-3.00pm) or email [email protected] with your details.

23.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS - we are happy to confirm that our timetable will be changing quite significantly from Sunday 19th January 2020. The most important changes are as follows:- St Helens to Launceston Sundays/Monday of long weekend depart 3.50pm, Launceston to St Helens Mon-Sat now departing 4.15pm (including Fridays) and Sundays/Monday of long weekend 7.10pm. Coles Bay/Bicheno to Launceston - there will now be a return service Saturdays and one way service Sundays (and also Monday of a long weekend). The early morning service will only be running during school terms and the return time from Launceston will be at 1.30pm (not 12.30pm). The full timetable is now on our website but please feel free to call in to our office and we will give you a hard copy or grab one off the bus.

11.01.2022 We are pleased to announce the arrival of our two new coaches that have been added to our growing modern fleet. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

10.01.2022 We are very excited to announce that we recently bought the old sawmill in Rex Court and after extensive renovations, in the coming weeks/months, it will become our new St Helens Depot. Finally a place to keep all our coaches under cover and in the one place. Watch this space.

05.01.2022 Calows coaches would like to thank all our passengers and staff for a fantastic 2019 we couldn’t make it possible without you and would like to wish everyone a safe and prosperous Christmas and new year and look forward to doing it all again in 2020.

05.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE: We encourage you to book and pay online where possible and apply for a SmartCard (which can be loaded and topped up) for our General Access Services. We would also like to remind all passengers that there is no food or drink (apart from water) allowed to be consumed on any of our services. Finally, a reminder that our early morning run (St Helens to Lton 6.15am and Lton to St Helens/Bicheno 1.30pm) will not be operating during the school holidays commencing 28th September for 2 weeks. Some other changes have been made to our Bicheno timetable - please contact us on 0400570036 if unsure.

02.01.2022 REMINDER: new timetable commences tomorrow (Sunday 19th January) - St Helens to Launceston departs 3.50pm, Launceston to St Helens departs 7.10pm, Freycinet/Coles Bay to Launceston via Bicheno & St Marys departs 3.15pm (3.50pm from Bicheno). Monday to Sat St Helens to Launceston is still 8.30am departure, Bicheno is 7.45am. St Helens to St Marys/Bicheno now depart 2.35pm Monday to Friday all year round. The early morning service from St Helens to Launceston and 12.30pm ...back to St Helens and Bicheno will no longer operate during school holidays. It will recommence on 5th February with a 1.30pm departure time from Launceston. There are numerous other additions/changes so feel free to call in to our depot and grab a new timetable or see one of our drivers (or visit www.calowscoaches.com.).
