Tomorrow the fun continues with more activities and the Girls Farewell Assembly followed by the Boys Farewell Assembly on Thursday morning. We're updating the Yr 12 Photo Gallery on the HUB everyday. There was overwhelming demand from students and it looks like there will be more events like this in the future, providing training for interested students. Calrossy is proud to be able to partner with such a wonderful volunteer community group such as the RFS. #calrossy #tamworthnsw #nswrfs
15.01.2022 Our fabulous boarders have done it again! They have been busy over the last couple of weeks filling donated bags with sanitary products and special gifts for those in need just in time for Christmas for the Share the Dignity "It's in the Bag" fundraising initiative. Share the Dignity is a charity working to make a real, on the ground difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or doing it tough. #calrossycares #boarding #calrossysecondary #LearnGrowServe #wellbeing #sharethedignity #countlessopportunities #tamworthnsw #ais #ABSA

12.01.2022 The Annual Students v's Staff Touch Footy game was held last week and these Calrossy teams had the privilege of being the very first to play on the newly rejuvenated Goldsworthy Oval on the William Cowper Campus. The staff team was again victorious for the fourth year in a row. The final score was 4-2 though some could argue the ref was just a little biased. #calrossy #classof2020 #somuchfun #tamworthnsw
11.01.2022 Our generous Boarders are in today's newspaper, with their great work through Operation Christmas Child. Well done, you make us proud! #calrossy #learngrowserve #tamworthnsw #operationchristmaschild #boardinglife
10.01.2022 Our Douglas Shield Cricket team had a great win last week in the first round of the 2020/21 Competition against Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School who met Calrossy at Sawtell for the match. Brothers Will and Tom Aitken lead the batting attack with innings of 28 and 27 respectively. In reply, the opposition took advantage of some early nerves and got off to a flying start but we dug deep, with Ryan Stewart and Chloe Scicluna leading us to the win. Chloe bowled 3/14 off 4 overs and Ryan 1/8 off 5.3 overs. It was great to see the team's hard work and training pay off. Thanks to Shawn Meppham and Jackie Holmes for touring with the team. Attention now turns to the Wiburd Shield when we play Carinya next week in Tamworth. #calrossy #learngrowserve #cricket #douglasshield #tamworthnsw #boardinglife
10.01.2022 For some of our Yr 12's today was bittersweet and full of memories as they went back to where it all began for a Special Primary Assembly to acknowledge their Calrossy journey, which for some students, began at Calrossy Preschool and Kindergarten. Principal Mr David Smith presented each student with a certificate and our current primary students were able to hear some of their favourite memories too! #Calrossy #Classof2020 #learngrowserve #tamworthnsw #memories #calrossyanglicanschool

Students were able to come to school in mufti, make yummy Milo balls, play with mini sphero's and sport activities. There were plenty of smiles all round. #campday #somuchfun #sphero #cooking #Calrossy #learngrowserve #tamworthnsw

06.01.2022 Rugby Grand Finals will be held this Friday at Scully Park and Pirates Rugby Ground. Calrossy have had a very successful year with all teams playing last week in Semi Finals vying for a spot in the Grand Final. There was tough opposition in all of our matches and unfortunately our Opens lost in the dying minutes to Farrer after a bruising game. Congratulations to all teams and a very big thank you to all of our coaches who give up their time to train the players and more often than not this year have had to travel out of town on Wednesday and Friday evenings. We really appreciate the effort and dedication you have shown. Good luck to the following teams who are playing in the Grand Finals Boys Calrossy 14’s (Yr 8) and Calrossy 16’s Girls Calrossy 16’s and Calrossy 18’s.
04.01.2022 Congratulations to our Wiburd Shield team who had a convincing win over Carinya today in Tamworth. A very hot day did not stop the team bowling Carinya out for 99 runs and then batting exceptionally well to win the game. Notable displays were from Ryan Stewart who took an impressive 6 wickets for 12 runs off 7 overs and Tom Holmes who took 3 wickets for 17 runs off 6 overs. Sam Holmes hit an impressive 34 while Tom Aitken remained 31 not out. Well done Team. #Cricket #calrossysecondary #teamwork #calrossysport #tamworthnsw #Calrossy #LearnGrowServe #countlessopportunities

02.01.2022 Congratulations to two of our Primary students who have been recognised for their mathematical skills. Aditi in Year 6 and Joshua in Year 4 were among the region's best in the Newcastle Permanent Maths Competition out of thousands of students. Aditi received a regional award for her amazing arithmetic and Joshua's sat the Year 5 division and is only in Year 4. Well done to the pair! #calrossy #learngrowserve #NewcastlePermanent #tamworthnsw #countlessopportunities
02.01.2022 As part of our recent Transition Day for the Calrossy Yr 8 students who will become the Calrossy 7 - 9 School leaders in 2021, we planted some new trees in the front of our Resource Centre as a symbol of new growth, which in turn will provide shade and recreational areas for our students. #watchusgrow #calrossy #tamworthnsw #LearnGrowServe #countlessopportunities
02.01.2022 At Calrossy, we pride ourselves on the environment provided to build strong independent people, from Preschool to Graduation. In the words of Mr. Joe Goldsworthy: "I wanted the boys to realise that being a Christian wasn't a wimpy type of thing, it wasn't a question of being a footballer or a Christian - you could be both."
02.01.2022 As 2020 Graduation draws closer and our School prepares for changes that welcome the commitment to the Diamond Model, we are ensuring that we continue to recogn...ise and embrace the rich history. This history is important as it is in the DNA of our School. Through the School Archivist, Mrs Rosalind Jones, and Alumni we have been developing exciting ways to share this history. Our Development and Marketing departments have several projects on the go to share the rich tapestry of Calrossy. One of these projects is a list of the male graduates of Simpson House on an honour roll board in memory of Mr Bruce Vietch. An interesting fact is the last three years, our male School Captain has been a boarder at Simpson House with the 2020 Captain to be added. See more
01.01.2022 A flashback to last week, when our Year 6 students held their final assembly and Farewell Dinner. Both were a fantastic celebration of their journey through Calrossy Primary, with the students hosting and performing the assembly themselves. Unfortunately, parents and guests were not able to see the assembly live but we have a photo gallery of this and their Farewell Dinner, on The Hub, and also a link to the video also on The Hub in the news section. Check them out now! #calrossy #tamworthnsw #learngrowserve #countlessopportunities #year6
01.01.2022 There were so many happy, smiling faces at Calrossy Primary today! It was House Day, a special day where the students were able to come to school dressed in their House Colours and take part in fun cultural, artistic, dance and sport activities. The day was organised as a way of saying goodbye to the Primary House names Chang, Wright, Munro, and Roberts which will be replaced along with all of the Calrossy Secondary House names at the end of the Term. Next year there will be four new house names across the whole school. We can't wait to find out what they will be. Head to the HUB for the full photo gallery. #Calrossyprimary #calrossy #learngrowserve #tamworthnsw #houseday #somuchfun
