25.01.2022 This year for National Ag Day we have had some past students let us know, in their own words, what they have been doing since leaving Calrossy. We are so proud of our students, no matter how far and wide they go across Australia and the world. You can read their stories here: https://calrossy.nsw.edu.au/our-alumni-and-national-ag-day We encourage Alumni to update their details through the form on the alumni page: https://calrossy.nsw.edu.au/Calrossy/Alumni... 19.01.2022 "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them."

16.01.2022 What a fantastic weekend of representative sport for our #Alumni. A huge congratulations to Claudia Nielsen and to NSW Country Rugby Union who took out the 2020 Chikarovski Cup with a 37-5 victory over a Sydney Gold team. 15.01.2022 Contemporary and State-of-the-Art learning facilities are vital to ongoing success and allow our children to explore and grow to their full potential. The Building Fund through our Foundation allows us to develop and maintain our facilities. All while being a tax deductible donation for the future of our children. 12.01.2022 Calrossy is excited to partner with the Tamworth District of the NSW Rural Fire Service to deliver the Secondary School Cadet Program and was overwhelmed with the interest from our students. Over the last two days of intensive training our students gained a valuable insight into fire safety and prevention whilst developing practical life skills and a general appreciation of #community #service and #volunteerism. The aim of the program is to: Develop an interest in the NSW R...FS and its traditions Provide cadets with a knowledge of fire safety and preparedness Develop the qualities of leadership, self-discipline, self- reliance, initiative and team work Encourage cadets to continue service in the NSW RFS or other community service organisations Provide training that can contribute to NSW RFS firefighter and other specialist training. These qualifications can be used in later life, whether it’s for work or for joining a volunteer rural fire brigade. The Secondary Schools Cadet Program can be linked to NSW Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) Years 7-10 Syllabus. Thank you to the RFS volunteers who delivered the training and to the students who signed up to be involved along Mr Lange and Mr Leach. #FoundationCAS #Learning #Growing #Serving Boarding at Calrossy Anglican School, Tamworth Calrossy Careers See more

09.01.2022 Today we received some fantastic news from Calrossy Alumni, Lucy Cantrill (Class of 2017). Lucy is currently living in Sydney and attending the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, The University of Sydney where she is completing her third year of Music Education. Lucy has recently written and illustrated an interactive eBook for children to learn more about music and musical instruments. Lucy has designed "Molly’s Musical Muddle" to inspire a love for music in the younger generations and said that she wouldn’t have been able to write this book if it wasn’t for the support and encouragement of the Calrossy Music Department which she was a part of for six years. 08.01.2022 As 2020 Graduation draws closer and our School prepares for changes that welcome the commitment to the Diamond Model, we are ensuring that we continue to recognise and embrace the rich history. This history is important as it is in the DNA of our School. Through the School Archivist, Mrs Rosalind Jones, and Alumni we have been developing exciting ways to share this history. Our Development and Marketing departments have several projects on the go to share the rich tapestry of Calrossy. One of these projects is a list of the male graduates of Simpson House on an honour roll board in memory of Mr Bruce Vietch. An interesting fact is the last three years, our male School Captain has been a boarder at Simpson House with the 2020 Captain to be added.

06.01.2022 We would like to pass through some messages from our Alumni to our 2020/21 cricketers so please comment below about your time at the crease. Congratulations to all of the players in the representative squad and all the best for the next round.

06.01.2022 Our Yr 12 students had a ball last week with a day at Tamworth Paintball & Laser Tag as part of their two day retreat. We would like to give a huge shout out and thanks to Calrossy Alumni, Ryan Semple (Class of 2017) who was one of the supervisors helping the students navigate the course and making sure everyone played within the rules. #somuchfun #calrossyalumni #Tamworthnsw #countlessopportunities

04.01.2022 Here is a fantastic gift idea for Christmas that keeps on giving and supporting local businesses throughout our region Thank you to The Magic Pudding Tamworth for their support of Calrossy Anglican School and #FoundationCAS.

04.01.2022 To say it’s been a difficult Rugby Season this year is an understatement but the Calrossy teams set a goal to play hard, fair and improve at the start of this shortened season and have now made the Grand Finals that will be held this Friday night at #ScullyPark and Pirates Rugby Club Tamworth. Train hard this week stay focused and stay together and continue to represent our school with pride and sportsmanship. Congratulations to all of the coaches who give of their time and to organisers and administrators of the competition and within the various schools and clubs you have really turned a negative into a positive. #Learning #Growing #Serving #Grandfinal Calrossy Careers #teamworkmakesthedreamwork Boarding at Calrossy Anglican School, Tamworth Rugby Australia

02.01.2022 VALE Karalynne (Lynne) Redknap (TCEGS 57) We are saddened to hear of the passing of a good friend and supporter of our school Lynne Redknap. Lynne came to Tamworth Church of England Girls School from Papua New Guinea as a boarder from the age of seven in 1951 and left at the end of 1957. In 2006 she attended Speech Day and presented a Bible to the school inscription attached and this bible is still used by Calrossy on special occasions and school events. Lynne told people th...at those years at TCEGS were the happiest of her life. Principal David Smith has written to Lynne’s family and conveyed our sympathies on behalf of the whole of our school community through this difficult time. Lynne is pictured here with Elisabeth Jackson and NSW Governor, Marie Bashir at the 2006 Speech Day along with the inscription she penned within the school bible. See more

Congratulations to all of the players for your commitment and to our coaches for your dedication in shaping our talented teams for the future. Congratulations again to Mitchell and Harry who have also balanced their recent rugby commitments with their HSC exams. #Learning #Growing #Serving #FoundationCAS #TamworthNSW Northern Suburbs Rugby Football Rugby Australia
