25.01.2022 Congratulations to our Wiburd Shield team who had a convincing win over Carinya today in Tamworth. A very hot day did not stop the team bowling Carinya out for 99 runs and then batting exceptionally well to win the game. Notable displays were from Ryan Stewart who took an impressive 6 wickets for 12 runs off 7 overs and Tom Holmes who took 3 wickets for 17 runs off 6 overs. Sam Holmes hit an impressive 34 while Tom Aitken remained 31 not out. Well done Team. #Cricket #calrossysecondary #teamwork #calrossysport #tamworthnsw #Calrossy #LearnGrowServe #countlessopportunities

25.01.2022 Would you like an academic Scholarship to attend Calrossy? Calrossy awards Academic Scholarships on the basis of the ACER co-operative examinations, which are held in February each year. ACER Scholarship Test Applications for entry into Yr's 7, 9, 10 and 11 for 2022 are now open and will close on Monday, February 8, 2021. 23.01.2022 At Calrossy, we pride ourselves on the environment provided to build strong independent people, from Preschool to Graduation. In the words of Mr. Joe Goldsworthy: "I wanted the boys to realise that being a Christian wasn't a wimpy type of thing, it wasn't a question of being a footballer or a Christian - you could be both."

22.01.2022 This year for National Ag Day we have had some past students let us know, in their own words, what they have been doing since leaving Calrossy. We are so proud of our students, no matter how far and wide they go across Australia and the world. You can read their stories here: https://calrossy.nsw.edu.au/our-alumni-and-national-ag-day We encourage Alumni to update their details through the form on the alumni page: https://calrossy.nsw.edu.au/Calrossy/Alumni... 22.01.2022 Our Secondary girls gave their retiring School Houses a very well deserved and loud send off today. Thanks for the memories Balleburra, Nangara, Ellaroo and Karawarra, you have served us well through athletic and swimming carnivals, house music, debating and public speaking competitions and provided plenty of fun times along the way. #gonebutnevereverforgotten #memories #housespirit #calrossy #calrossysecondary #countlessopportunities #learngrowserve

19.01.2022 It was great to see our Douglas and Wiburd Shield cricket squads training at the William Cowper Cricket nets this week. These nets were a P& F project and are an amazing asset to our School. The bowling machine has also made it easier for our teams to practice their defensive shots. On behalf of the 2020/21 training squads we wanted to say a huge thank you for the support. We look forward to our first round games in week 6. #calrossy #learngrowserve #tamworthnsw #cricket #ilovetamworth

18.01.2022 With the first HSC exam done and dusted, our Yr 12's were feeling a little relieved to finally put pen to paper after such a challenging year. 17.01.2022 A Strong House System for Calrossy A healthy House system is an integral component of student leadership, belonging and competition. Right from the early years being part of a House is important. We are fortunate that each of the different Calrossy sections has enjoyed positive House involvement through many years, creating the conditions for keen participation in school life, enhancing involvement and healthy rivalry. Students in Primary, Secondary Girls and Secondary Boys h...ave displayed their colours proudly and rallied behind their colours at Swimming, Cross Country and in the other respective competitions, all seeking to win the coveted House cup at the end of each year. The school has demonstrated adaptability during its history, adding to the number of houses and changing names to suit student growth when required. In line with Calrossy's whole school approach, as of 2021 there will be four new houses allowing students to enjoy the same house journey from Prep to Yr 12. 16.01.2022 Our Douglas Shield Cricket team had a great win last week in the first round of the 2020/21 Competition against Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School who met Calrossy at Sawtell for the match. Brothers Will and Tom Aitken lead the batting attack with innings of 28 and 27 respectively. In reply, the opposition took advantage of some early nerves and got off to a flying start but we dug deep, with Ryan Stewart and Chloe Scicluna leading us to the win. Chloe bowled 3/14 off 4 overs and Ryan 1/8 off 5.3 overs. It was great to see the team's hard work and training pay off. Thanks to Shawn Meppham and Jackie Holmes for touring with the team. Attention now turns to the Wiburd Shield when we play Carinya next week in Tamworth. #calrossy #learngrowserve #cricket #douglasshield #tamworthnsw #boardinglife
