Our mission is to promote awareness of the contribution that adult language teachers make to the city's economy, as well as to international co-operation, understanding and opportunity. CALTA also aims to elevate and guarantee the quality of language teaching in Cairns, and to promote this city as a quality education destination.... Finally, CALTA aims to generate further employment opportunities for its teaching members, by connecting individual learners and institutions with suitably qualified and experienced teaching professionals.
