25.01.2022 VOLLEYBALL QUEENSLAND SENIOR SCHOOLS CUP: the weekend action has come to a close, with all of our teams performing admirably... great enthusiasm, skills and teamwork, and as always, wonderful ambassadors for our College! We are VERY PROUD of you all. Special shout out to Mr Brendon Linning who has joined the coaching team this year - love your commitment, enthusiasm and expertise you always bring. Finally a MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS to our Senior Girls Team who won the Bronze Medal for their division... bravo girls

24.01.2022 VOLLEYBALL: today our Senior Girls and Year 10 Girls teams represented the Pacific District in the first round of Metro Finals against Woodridge SHS who were Logan District champions. Both of our teams went down in tight games, but as per usual, our girls did us proud! Excellent ambassadors for our College and a great bunch of players

22.01.2022 WEIGHTLIFTING: over the weekend Stefani Jenner (Year 11) competed in the 2020 Qld Youth Championships in Toowoomba. She finished 2nd overall with a combined lift total of 100kg. Congratulations Stef

21.01.2022 Soccer-U14 boys missed out on semis by 1 point finishing 3rd in their pool.Senior team made it all the way to play-offs but was defeated in a close game. The tournament was a great experience for our players and a very special last game for our year 12 students who have played this tournament 5 years in a row!

20.01.2022 Congratulations to the MS 3x3 basketball lunch time finalists for their awesome performance yesterday! Year 8 were crowned champions in a very close grand final 15-14 against the year 9s. Year 8 Ballers won the silver final with a solid performance. Thanks to all students who participated in the tournament.

18.01.2022 When you are feeling spent and empty when you train or play this week reflect on this: Its a privilege to be able to choose how you suffer not everyone has that choice. Some people have their pain forced upon them. This is so deeply true when you reach that moment in any sport event when your body hurts, and you just want to stop and sit on the ground and hang your head between your knees. Its so easy to feel sorry for yourself but thats totally mistaken! The pain is a choice, a privilege; and to indulge in self-pity is pathetic and contradictory.

If you have time then drop on down and cheer them on : draw is attached below. Huge thanks to all of our players , coaches and managers for all of their work in the Covid Netball season of 2020. A number of College players are also contesting Stage Age Championships during the holidays : this is a huge honour and we wish them all the best.

14.01.2022 VOLLEYBALL: Exciting news for some of our volleyball players... Marli Cetinich, Remmi Keith, Seth Winton and Zach Winton (all Year 9) and Lenita Cetinich (Year 11) have been offered positions in the Volleyball Australia Emerging Talent Program. They will now have access to elite level coaching and training camps and events. Congratulations!!!!

13.01.2022 SWIMMING - following our Pacific District Trials last week, both Angela Bubb (Year 10) and Lincoln Pendlebury (Year 5) have been selected to represent the District at the South Coast Regional Trials next week. Congratulations!!!

13.01.2022 MSS CROSS COUNTRY - we finally got to have an assembly/presentation today for last term's Cross Country Champions. Congratulations to Ethan Barke (Flynn) and Natasha de Beer (King) who were our College Champions, and to Liddell who were awarded House Champions for 2020. Well done

13.01.2022 Futsal girl teams made us proud at the SEQ Finals. U13 girls finished fifth overall and the senior girls were third. Both teams have qualified for the champion of champions tournament next term. Thanks Mr Morton for your awesome coaching.

12.01.2022 Rising Suns Netball Program (Boys Netball 12 - 16 Years) The QLD Suns are excited to announce that we are taking our first steps in establishing the Rising Suns... Netball Program. The Rising Suns Program will focus on growing, developing and creating netball pathways for boys aged between 12 & 16 years. In addition to delivering skills development, netball clinics, the Rising Suns Program key objective is to establish a thriving annual, all boys netball competition within Brisbane, with the vision to expand across Queensland in the coming years. We are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from boys: * 12 to 16 years of age; * Wanting to continue playing netball; or * Wanting to learn this exciting, fast and skilful game. 11.01.2022 2020 MSS SPORTS AWARDS NIGHT - we will be holding our 2020 MSS Sports Awards Night in the Community Centre on Thursday 5 November at 6.30pm. The evening will be approximately an hour long, and will be predominantly for our Futsal, Netball, Volleyball and Basketball teams, as well for students who excelled as individuals this year in sport. This year (due to COVID) we are limited to 120 adults in the venue, so each student who attends will only be permitted to bring one guest ...with them this guest will need to register via the following link: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx Students are not required to be in school or sports uniform smart casual dress is recommended. There will be photos taken so ‘free dress guidelines’ must be adhered to. We are looking forward to celebrating Calvary Sport.

09.01.2022 Incredible effort by some 40+ wonderful netball players at todays CSSAQ carnival at Macgregor. Firstly many thanks to staff and our parents for their support : special mention to Carolyn Mills and Anna James for their coaching and scoring assistance on a very busy day. We had some incredible results:... Seniors (Crushers) Undefeated Champions Juniors Div2 Undefeated Champions Juniors DIv 1 Third Intermediate Third Senior Player of the Carnival Bridie Clarke Junior Div 1 Player of the Carnival Abbie Henderson Junior Div 2 Player of the Carnival Gabby van Blerk Sportsmanship And Spirit Award Bianca Rowbottom I am always so proud of each and everyone of our girls who are not only wonderful on court but , and even more importantly; they are kind and supportive of each other off the court . Its character that counts and our girls have it in abundance.

09.01.2022 Great performance by the boys Futsal teams today! U13, U14 & U19 boys placed in the top 10 schools in South East Queensland. The U15 Boys team finished in the top 8 and has qualified for the Champion of Champions tournament in term 4. Well done Calvary!

06.01.2022 After 8 seasons of hard work , commitment , laughs , tears and joy our wonderful Crushers Captain Ava and our College Netball Captain Michaela have had their last training session . They are truly wonderful young ladies to be working with and Im looking forward to their final games on Saturday. Both, hopefully, they will be back next year as coaches
