25.01.2022 What do you do when Ekka is cancelled? At Calvary, we created our own Not Ekka - Ekka Weekend ... Our Show Team executes this across the last three days. The event involving students, parents and staff was designed for team building and included alpaca and sheep judging, scone baking, egg decorating, photography and young/old farmers competitions. We also hosted two afternoons of lamb cuddles for our College community. The weekend was a huge success as we celebrated Calvary Agriculture.

The Kookaburras cooking class took inspiration from the beautiful herbs from our vege pods on the Calvary Farm.... They made a special indigenous dip with yoghurt, our herbs and shallots. 14.01.2022 KIDS 4 KIDS 2021! Sam Glancy (year 8 Calvary student) and his family kickstarted this fundraiser to help local Logan school kids in need with stationary donations. This year they exceeded their goals, donating a total of over 28,000 school supplies to 11 schools! 13.01.2022 Our Under 11 Boys came in Champions at the South East Queensland Futsal Competition last Friday. In a competition of 75 primary school teams, 12 of Calvary teams made it back to the finals day. Competition was fierce and the adrenaline was pumping! We are so pleased with the results of our teams last Friday.... The Under 11 boys won their final! Our U12 Boys, U11 Girls, U11 Boys, U10 Girls, U10 Boys, U 9 Boys and U8 Boys finishing runners up in the competition.

06.01.2022 It has been an exciting weekend on Calvary Farm as we welcomed the first of our 2020 lambs. Having been conceived via artificial insemination, these lambs and their mums have been watched closely by our students. No doubt many lamb cuddles will occur over the coming days.

03.01.2022 KINGDOM KIDS COOKING | Each week our Early Years children are improving on their cooking skills, learning new techniques and recipes! Today they made chocolate chip cookies! We are also improving in our cleaning and packing away skills and showing great initiative. We have attached the recipe if you would like to bake at home #proudandblessed Recipe:... 125g butter, softened 1/2 cup caster sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups self raising flower 1 cup of choc chips 1. Cream butter& sugar then add the egg and vanilla and beat well. 2. Mix in sifted flour and choc chips - use a wooden spoon to mix well. 3. Place heaped teaspoons of the batter onto a lined tray and press flat. 4. Bake at 180 for 10-12 minutes or until golden in colour. Enjoy!

01.01.2022 Across the last three weeks, the Calvary Show Team has been busy attending regional shows at Pittsworth, Inglewood and Warwick. Our animals have had a number of successes and we have won Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons for our rams and ewes as well as Supreme Champion Schools Interbreed Ewe (Warwick). Our sheep also won a number of place ribbons. Not to be outdone by our sheep, our students have excelled in the Young Judges Competitions at all three shows. We have had s...tudents placing in the top three for both juniors and/or seniors at all shows. We are excited to have four current students and two alumni participating in the Stud Meat Sheep State Finals to be held at Toowoomba Royal Show in April.
