25.01.2022 Hi Everyone, some residents I talked to share the same concern I have about UNSAFE SPRINGVALE ROAD CROSSING at Coleman Parade, O'Sullivan, and Railway Parade N junction. Large volume of traffic along Springvale Road travelling at high speed 80km/hr, at the same time we also have a large number of residents/people crossing Springvale Rd to get to The Glen, Kingsway, GW Secondary College and GW Station. People with disability, elderly people, student, family and children. This... creates unsafe and a high risk situation. WHAT I WILL DO IF ELECTED... in brief I will work with Council to 1) put in place a consultant/expert team to study the existing condition of unsafe Springvale road crossing; 2) the consultant/expert to propose solutions/options to eliminate the said unsafe condition; 3) public consultation of solutions/options; 4) implement the solution by a Task Team. We all endeavor to make our community safer for all residents. Meanwhile, stay positive, healthy and active. Cheers! See more

24.01.2022 Hi Everyone, In order to have a better understanding of issues and concerns affecting our community, I took great effort to meet with local residents, ratepayers and community groups, before the lockdown. One of the key issues raised was the PARKING ACCESS because of its inaccessible and inconvenient around Glen Waverley's commercial area. WHAT I WILL DO IF ELECTED - In order to make existing carparks more accessible and convenient, I will start by implementing large and ...visible signage, longer parking hours, covered walkways, and better lighting. I will also ensure sufficient parking spaces for the handicapped, mother/child, and elderly. In addition, I will advocate to revamp little-known multiple level carpark next to Dan Murphy's to ensure its long-term viability. I ask for your support. Your vote will make a difference! 24.01.2022 Hi Everyone, At last the voting for Monash City Councillor starts today and until 23 Oct. All postal vote only. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to my supporters, volunteers, friends, mentors, community groups and local government. It was an enjoyable and meaningful journey for me personally. I got to meet many great people, new friends, voters, residents, ratepayers, business owners, and understanding of community issues which I normally would not have a chance to do so. Regardless what the outcome of the election result, I'm thankful and grateful for such experience that you all rendered me. I cherish the moments. All the best and Cheers!

21.01.2022 Thank you for the vote of confident from Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Victoria. Attached below is a share page from their Facebook. My sincere thanks to CCCV leadership team for their support to my campaign. Cheers!

18.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I've been visiting local residents, ratepayers and traders past few months, before the lockdown. During my meetings with them, several key community issues were discussed. One of which was GLEN WAVERLEY DEVELOPMENT. The community has expressed concerns about Glen Waverley development's sustainability and long term planning. The current reference document of GW Structure Plan lack of cohesiveness, connectivity, people focus, aesthetic design aspect, environment ef...fects on human beings, inclusiveness, entertainment and art, smart city and modern technology. WHAT I WILL DO IF ELECTED.. Being a trained engineer and having spent my professional career in project development, I will ensure GW's development decisions are made through meticulous analysis and objective reasoning. These decision frameworks will be fundamentally driven with the intent of benefitting our community, around creating a better lifestyle, safer environment, and long term sustainability. I will actively involve in upcoming GW Structure Plan process and incorporate the key elements as outlined to guide GW's development. Thus provide a blue print for creating a better future and lifestyle for our family to live in. I ask for your support. Your vote will make a difference! See more

16.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Like most of you I'm doing quite a bit of exercise by walking around the parks, during the lockdown. I noticed there's LACK OF PARK BENCHES ALONG SCOTCHMANS CREEK TRAIL for people to rest and take a break. Especially people with disability, elderly people, family and children. Not to mention after wet and rainy days forget about sitting on the ground to rest. WHAT I WILL DO IF ELECTED.. as a minimum I will advocate the Council to 1) study and ident...ify the location of park benches where needed, considering environmental, scenery and other factors; 2) choose easy-to-maintain and environmental friendly type of park benches; 3) To install the park benches as designated, and to include proper pavement surround the park benches to prevent soil erosion and muddy situation. We all endeavor to continuously improve our lifestyle and convenience for our community. Stay active, healthy and positive. Cheers! See more

13.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I observed how DIRTY PUBLIC TOILETS are during my regular walking exercise in Jells Park and other council parks. Published annual Residents Survey also highlighted the same concern. Most of the public toilets are unhygienic and smelly, a hub for bacteria and virus, a risk to public health. This needs improvement for our community's well-being. WHAT I WILL DO IF ELECTED, as a minimum I will drive the Council's effort 1)To install sensor counter at each public toilet, to alert cleaning crew; 2)To apply non-slip floor paint onto existing bare concrete floor surface; 3)To place hand washer in each toilet and disinfect all hand touch points. We all need do our part to ensure well-being of our community. Cheers!

11.01.2022 Hi Everyone, the residents expressed to me the dirty streets is an area needs improvement. I took the liberty to survey Glen Waverley area and attached some photos. In addition to dirty streets, the masks from Covid and cleaning paper littered along high foot traffic area. To ensure safety and wellbeing of residents, WHAT I WILL DO IF ELECTED.. as a minimum I will lead the effort to increase the frequency of street cleaning of hotpot area, use mobile cleaning unit to clean Covid masks & trash and put up related signage at high foot traffic area. We all need do our part to build a cleaner and safer environment.

10.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I would like to bring to your attention of DANGEROUS & OVERGROWN TREES around us which is a risk to our community and public safety. Recently wind storm caused 3 fatalities across Melbourne and substantial damages to properties. We want to put in Preventive actions to minimize such risk to our children and families. My recent walk-around survey reveals a certain level of disaster waiting to happen, photos attached. WHAT I WILL DO IF ELECTED.. as a minimum I will champion the effort in the Council to 1) set up a team proactively identify dangerous & overgrown trees, 2) trim right back any branches that post danger, 3) remove dangerous & overgrown trees in some cases and replace with young trees. We all want to protect our family and have a piece of mind.

08.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I put forward one of the key issues to the Monash Councillor meeting on 25 Aug, to bring attention and help to Glen Waverley traders' dire situation. Question: What is Monash Council’s initiative to help traders and business owners during this COVID period? Almost all traders and business owners I talked to in Kingsway parade and The Glen are suffering greatly, their business situation is from bad to worse. They have not se...en any actions from the Council to help them through this hard time, in a concrete and tangible way. If you can try to watch the live streaming of council meeting on 25 Aug, 7 pm. To listen to how they intend to assist Glen Waverley traders. I have my own approach in this matter and able to share via email for those interested. Stay positive, healthy and active during the lockdown. See more

01.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I always have the issue of UNSAFE DOUBLE ROADSIDE PARKING which concurred with many residents' complaints as well. It creates a narrow and in most cases allows only one vehicle to go through, dangerous for the parked vehicles to open their door, unsafe for cyclists and motorbikes to travel through. Large vehicles like delivery trucks having a high risk of accidental scratching parked vehicles. Furthermore, a nuisance for the residents' vehicles to enter and exit ...their driveway because of the congested parked vehicles. WHAT I WILL DO IF ELECTED.. I will advocate the Council to 1) eliminate Double roadside Parking. Only allow one sided parking, 2) allow in some cases for double sided parking where the road is wide and safe enough to do so, 3) set up a Task Force to identify and implement this work. We all want to create a safer environment for our community. Thank you for your concerns. Cheers! See more
