25.01.2022 Little HIIT finisher after todays weight session. It was 30 seconds on 10 off, 3 rounds (13 minutes and 50 seconds it takes). First round I completed it with my new 9kg weight vest. Burpees Ankle taps Push ups... Plank Slam ball 15kg KB swing 12kg Russian twists 6kg KB Give it a go. 17.01.2022 Here is my leg workout I did the other day. Quad focused. 1. Low Bar squat. 4x8 2. BD Walking Lunges 4x 20 (10 each leg) 3. Old school leg extensions 4x8... 4. Slam balls until failure I managed 20. My legs are my big focus atm, something I want to grow and improve, Ill be trying to do this workout or something similar once a week. Ive seen so many posts about people missing the gym and now there going backwards. Theres no reason to go backwards cause you cant make it to the gym there is so much content online and so many trainers who do online PTing including myself. This is me today I havent trained weights or cardio for 25 days due to the fact I had shingles, you can still see the rash in photos. This is the longest time I havent trained in over 2 years. 09.01.2022 What is tempo and what does it mean. Tempo is a rate or pace at which an exercise is performed. Tempo is broken up into 4 stages... Eccentric- Lowering Isometric- Pause at bottom Concentric- Lifting Isometric- Pause at top Example of tempo 2-0-2-0 for a bicep curl, would be 2 seconds lowering the weight, no pause at the bottom and then 2 seconds lifting the weight with no pause at the top. FOCUS if you have goals and know what you are trying to achieve it helps you stayed focused and work hard towards your goals. PROGRESSION If you have a certain goal in mind doesnt matter what it is, run 5kms or bench 100kg, it helps you track your progression and see how you are tracking towards your goals MOTIVATION by having goals and something you want to achieve by a certain point will help motiva...te you to achieve your goal or goals. PROCRASTINATION with certain goals in your focus you are less likely to go to the gym and procrastinate about what you want to do, having a goal will should help you go to the gym and know exactly what you want to do to help achieve your goal. TIPS FOR GOAL SETTING write your goals down. set specific goals, make sure its clear. make your goals realistic. You want to be able to achieve them or come close to achieving them in your time frame. set long term and short term goals. and when your timeframe is up REVIEW- how you did. ASSESS- changes youd like to make. REPEAT- create new goals and go again. This could be relevant to a lot of people now we cant train in the gym, so put your gym goals on hold (for now) and make new goals you want to achieve in this time.
