25.01.2022 It’s that time of year again! it’s gone so quickly! With only 3 weeks left of the year we have extended our business hours and will open at 7am daily. If you require a booking prior to the Christmas shutdown, please contact us ASAP to avoid disappointment. ... Our Christmas shutdown will be from the 23rd of December. We will re-open 8am Thursday the 2nd of January 2020. For all those customer we won’t see until next year, we hope you have a fantastic Christmas and a happy New Year from myself and the team. As you are all aware, the Australian Government has issued a ban on all non-essential services to combat COVID-19. We would like to advise all our customers that the Australian Government has issued guidance to State and Local Governments to include the vehicle service and repair industry is in the definition as essential services. 22.01.2022 We have decided to close the workshop this coming Monday the 25th Of January,making this time a Four day break due to Australia Day on the Tuesday the 26th. We will reopen Wednesday the 27th at 8.00 am. I hope everyone stays safe and enjoys Australia Day

20.01.2022 A couple of pics of Noels 79 series land cruiser in for an engine replacement,over the last two weeks. Complete with new long engine from Toyota,full set of glow plugs,injectors,pump,turbo,full set of genuine cooling hoses,new clutch,radiator,starter motor and all necessary bits and pieces. Inlet manifold and EGR all chemically dipped,cleaned as necessary to remove carbon deposits.

19.01.2022 This is a cabin air filter that filters the air coming into your car from the atmosphere, also probably one of the most overlooked items within a service schedule. We have seen a lot of bad ones lately, as specially after the terrible fire season we just had with the air quality being so poor,but this one takes the cake,worst we’ve seen

We all know someone who has been affected by the fires and our hearts go out to all who have lost their home and or loved ones. Our hearts go out to the firies who put their lives at risk everyday to protect ours. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude. To those who are caring for our injured wildlife, we say thank you. Australia has lost over half a billion wildlife... to these fires, which is estimated to climb even further. For those animals that have been rescued, they need our help. Calwell Car Care is registered as a hub on behalf of The Rescue Collective* to receive items for wild life affected by the bushfires. My wife has set up a basket of items to help these little guys, to be forwarded onto this organisation. The more people who get involved the more we can make a difference. Every little bit helps. 14.01.2022 Ahead of the possible catastrophic conditions forecast for this coming Saturday, 4th of January, we have decided to close the work shop for the day. This is so staff can be at home and prepared should conditions deteriorate in the ACT. Everyone stay safe and let’s hope for some rain!!

14.01.2022 As the warm weather hits,we are seeing the problems of over heating or engines running hotter than usual,routine maintenance reduces these potential problems,like this instance,lack of coolant changes or flushes causes premature failure and corrosion to your engine. This is the water pump we pulled of compared to the new one,clearly the cause of the overheating problem in this car.

13.01.2022 Has your common rail diesel lost power,using excessive fuel or just doesn’t feel quiet right?? Attached are some images,(before and after)we took of this customers 2014 hilux diesel.He had booked in for a routine service but mentioned all of the above,after scanning the vehicle necessarily,all appeared to be okay within the engine management system,however he had owned this vehicle since new,and said it doesn’t feel like it Used too After further testing we suspected insuff...icient air entering the engine,but again the air filter looked good,and no obvious obstructions..until this. An inlet manifold approximately 70% blocked with carbon deposits after the EGR. We removed the manifold,had at chemically cleaned back to new,after getting the vehicle back on the road,The customer has reported the vehicle is A different Car We also fitted a catch can,to slow that sludgy deposit process down, To ensure the proper drivability

12.01.2022 Here’s our newest addition to our loan car fleet. All loan cars are free of charge for the duration of the hire should your vehicle by required to be kept overnight. All our vehicles have automatic transmission also.... If you require a baby seat,they are also available,simply mention this when making your booking so we can have it fitted ready for your arrival.

12.01.2022 It would be almost impossible to have not heard about the Coronavirus(Covid-19) outbreak that is gripping the world right now. Everyday we are hearing about the increasing number of cases across Australia. The health and well being of our customers, our team here at Calwell Car Care and your loved ones is of the utmost importance to us.... For us, preventing the spread and or transmission of the Coronavirus is no different than preventing any virus. We have always been vigilant about cleanliness and hygiene and are therefore well equipped to deal with this situation. In saying this, we will be increasing our emphasis on existing procedures as well as taking additional precautions to help everyone stay healthy and safe. We are confident that Calwell Car Care will remain a safe place for all, and therefore to continue business as usual.

10.01.2022 My car went in for a service today, after having Lubemobile out and quoted $1,880 to service her. I thought i should get a second option and boy aint I glad tha...t I did, Guy Holz and the team made sure everything that needed to be done was done with the upmost care and in a timely manner. Thiis came in alot cheaper then the other mob and she is running better then ever. If you need your car serviced or other stuff cars need I highly recommending heading down to see Guy and his team at Calwell Car Care. They are highly professional and service like no other. 09.01.2022 When cheap is cheap for a reason..Honestly Guys it’s not worth fitting cheap parts to your car,this customer sourced there own part On line it has travelled 3000klms before failing,you can see the impeller on this water pump has cracked and come of the shaft,causing the vehicle to overheat,not to mention an expensive tow! We recommend and only fit high quality named brand parts for this reason,yes there is cheaper things on line at times,but when they fail,and they do is it... worth it?? In this case the customers supplier on line won’t give warranty as he fitted the pump himself,not saying it was fitted incorrectly,it was. This sad story is starting to become more and more common,something to think about Guys..

03.01.2022 Just a reminder,with Easter just around the corner followed by Anzac Day the following week,there’s a couple of short weeks in a row,if you are planning to travel over Easter or plan on having your car done prior to these short weeks,please bare in mind we are booking out fast,spots are starting to become limited already. The workshop will be closed from Thursday 5.30pm the 18th April untill 8.00am Tuesday the 23rd April and again on the Thursday 25th April for Anzac Day,normal trade resumes Friday 8.00am 26th April. For everyone else we won’t see before these times have a great Easter,please travel safe also

01.01.2022 Trading hours over the Easter long weekend. The workshop will be closed from Friday the 10th of and reopen 8.00am Tuesday the 14th of April. Although it’s a very different Easter this year with all that is going on, on behalf of myself and the team here at Calwell Car Care, we would like to wish everyone a very happy Easter.... We would also like to thank everyone for the amazing support we have received! We truly have the most amazing customers! We are extremely grateful that we get to do what we love, which is looking after you and your cars and look forward to continuing to do this for many more years Since introducing the pick up and drop of service, it’s proven to be a massive help for family’s during this pandemic, especially now that most are working at home and have become school teachers also. It’s taken a little pressure of when needed. This is a service we will continue to provide even after the pandemic is over.
