24.01.2022 Another close contest in round 2 of the MSBA Summer Snooker saw Camberwell come away with our second draw of the season, this time 8-8 against Nth Brighton Legends at home. Individual results: Rob Benedos lost 0-3... Richard Shacksnovis won 3-0 Loyd Grosvenor lost 0-3 Glenn Hill won 3-0 The lopsided individual scorelines dont really tell the full story in what was a night of great snooker played by both teams. Many of the frames were closely contested and could have gone either way. Fingers crossed well get our first win of the season against the Bentleigh Stars at the Bentleigh Club this Tuesday night!

23.01.2022 Another great performance and good win in Round 7 against Burwood puts us 9 points clear on the top of the ladder. We came away with a 9-4 victory at home, and congratulations to Karan Thopte on winning 2-1 in his first game for the club. Individual results: Rob Benedos lost 1-2... 22.01.2022 Better late than never in getting this post up, but the Summer Snooker season kicked off for Camberwell last Tuesday night with a 6-6 draw against Dandenong at Dandenong RSL. All matches were very tight, with the individual results as follows: Rob Benedos won 2-1... Rod Berry lost 1-2 Richard Shacksnovis lost 1-2 Loyd Grosvenor won 2-1 There was some great snooker played by all. Highlights included Rod Berry coming back from 18 points down with only the pink and black left on the table to pinch the second frame of his match, and Rob Benedos displaying nerves of steel with a black ball victory in the last frame of the evening to secure the draw. Well done lads. Next match up is against Nth Brighton Legends at Camberwell this coming Tuesday night.

18.01.2022 Another strong performance in Round 5 of the MSBA Summer Snooker competition sees us sitting 5 points clear on top of the ladder! This time we hosted the Bentleigh Snipers at home and recorded a 9-4 victory (well done to Richard Shacksnovis on securing the bonus point with a 3-0 win). Overall it was a good contest and enjoyable night of snooker, with many close frames and all played in the right spirit. Individual results: Rod Berry lost 1-2... 18.01.2022 Round 6 of the Summer Snooker competition had us playing Grace Hawthorn away from home. It was a great night of snooker and another strong performance that saw us come away with an 8-5 win, thanks largely to the heroics of Richard Shacksnovis, who recorded his second consecutive 3-0 victory and bonus point. 16.01.2022 Congratulations to Karan Thopte on winning this year's Handicap Snooker Championship, defeating Glenn Hill 3-1 in last night's final. It was a closely contested and high-scoring final, with Karan proving to be a class above with a couple of very impressive and clinical breaks in the 30s under pressure. It was a magnificent performance and a pleasure to watch from a new member to Camberwell Cue Sports, and we look forward to seeing a lot more of Karan around the club in the fu...ture. Well done, Karan. Special thanks goes to Denis Coghlan on not only organising the event, but on spending a full and no doubt tiring day refereeing yesterday's matches. It was an enormous effort and very much appreciated. There was some great snooker played throughout, a we look forward to doing it all again next year! 13.01.2022 Round 9 saw us take on the Boronia Rays at home in the Summer Snooker competition. Unfortunately, Boronia were a bit too good on the night, and defeated us 8-5. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable night of snooker, with high standard matches played in the right spirit on both tables. Individual results: Karan Thopte lost 0-3... 12.01.2022 Round 4 of the Summer Snooker competition saw our momentum continue with a big 12-2 win over the Nth Brighton Tigers at home. It was great effort, with strong performances from everyone on the night, and sees us sitting on top of the ladder with 4 rounds played. Lets hope we can keep it going! Highlights of the night include a break of 23 from Loyd Grosvenor, currently the highest break of the season for Camberwell. Richard Shacksnovis was cool under pressure winning a black... ball respot in the decider of his match to win 2-1. And well done to Jeetendra Bhika for winning 3-0 in his first match of the year. 08.01.2022 Bit slow in getting this up (and not because I got pantsed 3-0). We came up against a strong Frankston outfit in Round 8 of the Summer Snooker competition last week, and they were too good at home, winning 8-6. It was a very high standard of snooker played on the night, and well done to Frankston on getting the win. Highlights for Camberwell included captain Rod Berry doing his best to carry the side with a strong 3-0 victory. Rob Benedos was very solid and lost in unlucky c...ircumstances in a respotted black ball decider. Loyd Grosvenor was also in good touch and played 3 frames that could very easily have gone either way. Individual results: Rob Benedos lost 1-2 Rod Berry won 3-0 Glenn Hill lost 0-3 Loyd Grosvenor lost 1-2 Due to some other results going our way, were still sitting 12 points clear on top of the the ladder after 8 rounds, which is a fantastic result. Round 9 sees us hosting the Boronia Rays at home tomorrow night.

07.01.2022 After 2 consecutive draws to start the season, a great all-round performance in Round 3 saw us notch up our first win in the MSBA Summer Snooker competition, defeating the Bentleigh Stars 10-3 away from home. 02.01.2022 In Round 12 of the Summer Snooker competition we played the Dandenong Diggers at home. It was probably one of the closest nights of snooker this year so far, with many black ball frames and a great standard across the night.
