21.01.2022 We love living here on the South Coast and I am very grateful that I can teach yoga classes from the historic Cambewarra Community Hall, 144 years in the making and now to encompass downward facing dog poses for the communities of Cambewarra, Tapitallee, Bangalee & Browns Mountain. There are classes on Mondays 4-5pm and Fridays 10-11am. Everyone is welcome. Please email to enrol into a class or if you have any questions. Regards Jeanette

18.01.2022 Dear new and returning to Yoga Peeps, I have been asked to describe the experience of practising yoga together...Students learn what to do and how to do safely with correct alignment of the muscular-skeletal system without straining or risk of injury. The practice is developmental, progressive and fun. Yoga is about managing the relationships in the body. For instance, working the feet and legs to better support the spine, working the spine to improve the neck, shoulders,... arms and hands. In this way, a student learns how to identify and work directly with causes rather than symptoms. As yoga is experiential the student’s confidence and capacity improves through continuous uninterrupted yoga practice. If you have previous yoga/body work experience you will be able to leverage off your experience and grow your practice safely. Yes of course the class is suitable for beginners and everyone is welcome. I understand that people have different ranges of access in their body at any one point in time (the context)the class is designed to meet you where you are at in your practice...carefully, responsibly, developmentally... I look forward to meeting you on the mat... Kind Regards Jeanette

11.01.2022 What a pleasure it was to meet the people from Cambewarra and the local areas on Monday for yoga in the Cambewarra Community Hall for the 4pm and 6pm classes. A lovelier turnout and warmer welcome to the Community I could not have imagined...thank you! It was cool outside but happily very toasty within. I look forward to seeing how the adho mukha svanasna (downward facing dog pose) progresses in the coming weeks. Meanwhile here is our little resident green tree frog below in his Uttansana (intense stretch pose). I look forward to seeing your smiley happy faces on the mat next week. By the way there are still a few places left (Mondays 4-5pm, Mondays 6-7pm and Friday 10-11am) for enrolment and more information please contact me: [email protected] kind regards Jeanette

10.01.2022 Dear Yoga Peeps and those considering joining a class... Term 3 Cambewarra Yoga Classes have been extended to 75 minutes: Mondays 4-5.15pm Beginners... Mondays 6-7.15pm Beginners/General Level Fridays 10-11.15am Open Level (All welcome) The Historic Cambewarra Community Hall (School of Arts) has been tested over the last few months of winter and the winds up to 102 kms...we have happily survived..thanks to the very effective wall heaters and door snakes...and Adho Much Svansana's (downward facing dog poses) too...as a newcomer to the area I do hope the August "winds" are at an end...and the rain fills the tanks... The days look to get longer and warmer...if you have been contemplating starting than please do, you would be most welcome... Recently I was practicing in Bali...everything feels lighter in the warmth...however there is something to be said for a yoga practice that works naturally through the seasons...even the windy ones! I look forward to seeing you on the mat soon... regards Jeanette

03.01.2022 Dear Yoga Peeps and nature Lovers, since we have moved to the beautiful South Coast, we have been very immersed in bird watching and the ramblings of the nocturnal creatures around our home. Recently we helped rescue (with the enormously generous and wise volunteers of WildLife Rescue South Coast) little "Kitty" who was dithering on the road in the early afternoon. Kitty is safely with a new mum and learning to do wombat things. In terms of yoga news there are still some places left in Mondays 4-5pm, 6-7pm and Fridays 10-11am classes. For more information you can message or email me on [email protected]
