09.01.2022 Leadership Seminar in Cairns. During March and April of this year Amway China held their Leadership Seminar here in Cairns. 6000 plus delegates attended over a 3 week period with the numbers spread over seven sessions. Held at the Australian Artillery and Armoury Museum the newly constructed wing was converted and divided into two sections, one for the business sessions and the other for the gala dinner.... Designed and organised by Encore Event Technologies the event featured a 270-degree multimedia projection, holographic projection and synchronised robotics. Our role was to IMAG and ISO record both the business sessions and gala dinners. We began our day covering the business session with 3 camera operators and a camera director. The challenge for us - the conference was conducted in Chinese. After a quick food break we were in rehearsal for the Gala dinner. Again 3 cameras and a camera director, only this time the equipment included a 5m jib and a roving wireless camera. The challenge for us - watching everyone eat mud crab!

01.01.2022 The Cairns Show coverage had a few new challenges for us this year with the introduction of the CSTV Media Hub. CSTV is the Cairns Show media production unit. The media hub is located in the De Jarlais Function Centre and has a functional TV studio designed for interviewing sponsors and special guests. ... The hub activities forms part of the overall LIVE coverage viewed on the large PROGIG LED screens. A dedicated camera crew, headed by our host presenter and Cairns Miss Showgirl 2018 Georgia Hunter, produce informative video presentations of the show’s activities and then post to social media. Titled Around the Grounds Georgia provides a sneak peak of activities at the Heritage Park, Horticulture Pavilion, Community Stage and livestock. Another addition to our coverage was the "LIVE STREAMING" of the Equestrian Events to the Cairns Show Facebook page. The usual challenge of live streaming is being able to sustain a reliable internet connection. With so many mobile phone users at the event streaming speeds tend to suffer, so using the bonded technology of LIVEU was our solution. CSTV is a work in progress.
