24.01.2022 Tomorrow (10/11/20) NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service in conjunction with Fire and Rescue NSW Station 358 Laurieton will be conducting a hazard reduction burn around the Laurieton side off North Brother Mountain (weather permitting). Smoke will be visible throughout the Camden Haven and Bonny Hills area. NSW Rural Fire Service - Mid Coast District

24.01.2022 Last night at approx 2150 (9:50pm) Camden Haven station along with Laurieton Fire and Rescue 358, Lake Innes RFS and Bonny Hills RFS all responded to a reported Structure Fire in Kendall. We are pleased to inform that no such fire was found!! A false alarm it seemed. Please remember 000 or (112 can be used from mobiles) is for emergency calls only. Have a great long weekend and stay safe on the roads!

23.01.2022 After responding to smoke sightings on the 11-11-20 and 12-11-20 coming from internally of the NPWS and FRNSW conducted Hazard Reduction at Laurieton (Flinders Drive Area) it’s a good time to remind residents that there will be smoke visible for days possible weeks to come as large tree stumps and logs smoulder away well within the burnt country. Remember to save 000 for unattended fires and other emergencies. Thank you and stay safe!

21.01.2022 Last night at 19:30 (7:30) we took a triple 000 call to bush alight at the base of North Brother Mountain between Fairwinds Estate and Brother Glen Drive. This was a re ignition from the NPWS Hazard Reduction, more then likely a tree fell that’s been burning internally. Thanks to Bonny Hills Rural Fire Brigade NSW RFS - Lake Cathie Brigade Lake Innes Rural Fire Brigade NSW RFS - Wauchope Brigade we managed to gain access and knock the fire down. Fire and Rescue NSW Station... 358 Laurieton also responded but were stood down as their pumper couldn’t gain access. Many thanks for the turn out of all crews always a pleasure working with you all. Cheers and happy Friday!

20.01.2022 Because we all need a helping hand sometimes!

19.01.2022 Here is a list of the schools closed tomorrow. Save triple zero for emergencies and remember, if it’s flooded forget it. Stay safe!

18.01.2022 As of tomorrow 1-04-21 fire permits for our local area will no longer be required as the Bush Fire Danger Period comes to an end. Please have a read of the below material and familiarise yourself with the rules and regulations in place before you light a fire. Have a great long weekend and stay safe on our roads!

12.01.2022 Tonight at approx 2020 (8:20pm) Camden Haven Brigade along with Lorne Brigade and Laurieton Fire and Rescue 358 Station we were responded to an electrical fire in the local area. It is a very timely reminder to all residents that a fire extinguisher and fire blanket is a very very very important item to have close by. The owner was very lucky to have one on hand to extinguish the fire before it travelled into the wall/kitchen bench. What started as a dishwasher fire could ha...ve ended with the whole house lost. With the use of a Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC) from Laurieton 358 Pumper all crews agreed the fire was extinguished and not burning internally. We removed the faulty dishwasher from the house to help rid the smell of burning electrical items! (It Stinks!!) This story has a very lucky and positive outcome. Thanks to the crews from all stations who responded to the call! Stay Safe! See more

10.01.2022 If anyone knows information please contact us police or King Creek Rural Fire Brigade.

09.01.2022 This afternoon our brigade was called to remove a tree that fell over a bridge at Upsalls Creek. This is a reminder to drive safe with alot of unstable ground due to the recent floods.

06.01.2022 The fire danger for the Mid Coast tomorrow, Friday 25 September will be Very High and all fire permits will be suspended. Under these conditions you should revi...ew your bush fire survival plan, keep yourself informed about conditions and be ready to act if necessary. For current information on fires in the area visit www.rfs.nsw.gov.au or download the Fires Near Me app for smartphones. If you see a fire and no fire trucks in attendance call triple zero (000) immediately.

06.01.2022 It’s a great idea to download our fires near me app and set a watch zone. You will then be alerted and updated on the status of the fire in your set zone.

05.01.2022 With the weekend forecast to be hot and windy it comes with Saturday being a Very High Fire Danger and Sunday a Severe Fire Danger. Under these conditions fires can move quickly and sometimes unpredictably. It’s a good time to remind you all that having a fire plan and making sure the family knows that plan is priceless and highly recommended. You can also check on the local area Fire Danger Rating on our sign which is opposite the Royal Hotel, up against the produce stores... fence. Please call 000 for any fires without a Fire Truck in attendance. And have a great weekend!

05.01.2022 Beechwood Brigade have been out over the weekend with other local brigades assisting with the flood recovery effort. There is no way to move mud except to get o...n the end of a shovel, broom or hose. The level of damage is confronting, so much cleaning up to do. It was hot, hard, dirty work (not to mention the smell) and you all busted in . We hope we have made a small difference to those we were able to assist in restoring some normality See more
